At times it was "too easy" for VVD at Celtic, the problem was that he often played like that and was prone to some very basic errors due to not applying himself properly. He was clearly a very talented defender when we signed him in 2013 BUT there's a reason he wasn't snapped up by Ajax, PSV or Feyenoord and there's a reason that Celtic only got £12 million from Southampton for him in 2015 and not £30-40 million from the likes of Man City, Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd etc.... As do alot of Argentinean and Brazilian greats. Including Di Stefano( Real Madrid Legend). Kryuff taught Barcelona how to play football. A Dutchman! Spaniards are full of themselves. I've seen Baresi, Stam, Terry, Ferdinand, Cannavaro, Ramos and Maldini (and seen all of them other than Baresi live) and none of them had the whole package. VVD at his absolute peak had everything. You see him live and its like he's playing with boys.
