This episode was utterly stellar in every category. I like the soft color palette on all the Asano and Shirai flashbacks while the train had that strong red tint, the rain while they fought on the top of the train followed up by the sky clearing up to reveal the sun. Are things I never imagined reading the manga, but were gorgeous in the anime. It feels like everyone on board really wanted to adapt these chapters the instant the series was green lit.
Also why’d the staff pop off for Mizuki and Ai the ep is so consistently top tier animation wise
All season, I’ve thought the adaptation has felt like a fairly standard adaptation. I don’t mean that in a bad way, just that it feels like the manga may be better. This episode was pretty great tho, and even if this is a more standard adaptation, I haven’t read the manga so it’s not like I have anything to go off of, and have enjoyed it very much week to week 🔥
The fight scene had such excellent emotion and the battle in the rain! Epic!
It's rare for me to say this but Mission: Yozakura Family is one of very few anime where I actually enjoy both the subbed and dubbed as well as love the manga. It's fantastic either way I read it or watch it. Not to mention Taiyo has some amazing development and just overall a much better main character than a vast majority of anime I have seen over the years, who knew, hah! I can always find some kind of flaw I don't like about my favorite Mc's but not him, there’s nothing wrong with Taiyo. Just rambling at this point but I this anime really is a great one. It's still hard to believe it's so good despite all the anime being released lately is lackluster or repetitive. Episode 20 is most definitely one of the best episodes yet. I hope this anime keeps going strong as well as the manga.

Gerbera Train Arc was the arc that made me love the manga and made Taiyo one of my favorite protagonists and seeing the anime give it the JUSTICE it deserved makes me so happy! Looking forward to the last 7 episodes and how the Seed Sowing Project arc unfolds!
