To this who dont know about the music itself, its a comparison between cancel culture and death penalty.

Idk man it reads more like social stigma and falling out of normalcy than "Cancel Culture"

@@kiusleysouzasilva3642 I know it says that, but if you're gonna analyse lyrics you have to do it in the context of the whole song and the one it was written on.
While it does mention people judging from the other side of the screen, it also mentions how people being late for work or eating before lunch time have to commit seppuku because society demands it.
Utsu is no stranger to criticizing Japanese ethics and culture (specially work and "formal" culture) Besides in Japan, the phenomenon we in the west see as "cancel culture" really is basically non-existent and instead what happens there is that it's really easy as a public figure (something which utsu is) to just lose your job and future because you didn't adhere to the ideas perpetrated by Japanese culture in general.
To ignore all of the social commentary and criticism of Japan's strict and somewhat outdated worldview in the song and instead choose to laser focus on a single line and declare how it's about "Cancel culture bad" really takes away from the lyrics and makes the song seem way more shallow than it actually is
