I think Whitetail was the one that made the rifling gauge and they sold out to Horny, Whitetail made good small tools for Benchrest Guys, I had the Whitetail before the Horny came out something of that nature I can't remeber
Performed a very similar development except with a Bartlein M24 contour barrel and a Palma barrel, defiance Anti-X action with an AG composite stock. When I do my part I have no problem consistently scoring in the 190s at 600. I believe you can get 3000fps with the right brass powder bullet combination with the shorter barrels too
Awesome video and details always love your long videos 😁 I see in wrote in that sheet the minor diameter is 0.785, isn't that small for the 1 1/6 -16 thread size? Thanks again mate
It didn't go all the way through (I do point that out early on in the video). May have been a CNC robot error, or intentional. I don't know. I was contracted to do the machine work and was not present for scope base mounting, so I cannot comment on if it was an issue or not.
I saw a video once from a well known bench rest shooter that said you should fireform the case to the chamber then knock the shoulder of the case back a couple of thousands and then make the gauge. I realize you cant do that in this case, just thought I would pass it along
That's correct and preferrable. However, in this case (as you know), it was simply a way to check and verify the depth of cut as Geoff pushed the throat back. For an OAL gauge for bullet seating depth, one would fireform as you say so it's a perfect match to the chamber avoiding any false readings. Thanks for watching and engaging the channel!!

forgive my sloppy handwriting! it's .985 rest assured! 🙃 Thank you very much for watching and for engaging the channel!!
@@AccurateRiflesandRestorations haha I can rest assured now.
This is the level of focus I reach when watching your great work 😁
Thanks mate
Can you also reset headspace with another recoil lug. I mean what is 0.253 for anyway?
hmmmm.... that's a good suggestion. Perhaps that's what the odd size is, never thought of that!
Great Vid New Sub 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for the sub!
You can have one, it's called the classic now..
If I recall correctly, the Tenacity was replaced with the Classic
seems to be the case... almost exact copy, wonder what that was all about...?🤔
Probably something to do with the rights on names
@45:38 - Is the bottom of that front rail thread not cleaned out? Is that metal I am seeing? Is that normal? Nice video.

Interesting throat reamer!
It is quite nice!
