I was on the same flight 5 weeks ago. Also in seat 3a! Nice memories. Love the Qatar business class though the seats in the A380 as you say are better. Hamad is an amazing airport but I personally found the lounge to be a little soulless - even though it's architecturally rather impressive.

Qatar now has q suite flights on certain days for DOHA to MALE. Very excited to be flying q suites from JFK/MIA to DOHA and a 24 hour layover there and then onto Male for St Regis Maldives!
Hello.. Wonderful recap of the QR product and Lounge. I have flown extensively on all fleet types of QR and never get tired of seeing more particularly from a well regarded TH-camr such as yourself. Selected A333/332 had historically included a first class cabin (to upload soon) and old fashioned business class as well. The product you see here have been enrolled on most A330s now as FC will only be available on the A380. I do like them despite the seats being a touch on the tighter side and they compliment the smaller cross section fuselage of the A330. Also urban Lounge is indeed spectacular, the high cielings and vast space makes it so unique and comfortable even at peak times. All the best to you.. And happy flying.
Being an AC frequent flyer, just wanted to say that to be VERY honest, my own country's premier airline, Air Canada, does NOT have a first class... only has business class. The 787 business class is quite nice, however, I do believe that there is barely any luxury offered, the meals are quite ordinary. Super expensive, but not worth it.. As a matter of fact, United, American & Delta offer much better Business & First class products.There are quite a few AC 787 business class videos.
Oh sir as modest as you are I would argue that AC's 1-2-1 reverse herringbone is much better than united's horrible 2-4-2 seating in business class or even UA's ex-COA 2-2-2 BE aerospace diamond seats. But the food I cannot compare since I've been on UA's F and J but not AC's class

Air Canada's Executive POD is very up to date, modern and comparable to some bigger names, HOWEVER, the classic pod that has the weird curvy seat, it's uncomfortable to sit on. I've sat on both these business class products on AC. I'm mainly referring to the luxury aspect Mr. Aircraft King... If I pay $7000 CAD to travel on AC business class, I know for a fact that I can spend the same and fly a different carrier and I'll have more luxury available to me. Please DON"T comment unless you've actually traveled on AC business class product.
From the air, it seems clear that that the Maldives resemble the older, sinking islands on the Hawaiian island chain that stretches from the Big Island (the youngest) to Midway and beyond -and these are definitely more like Midway.
Spectacular design. I believe; just as the Italians have a flair of design and art, the Arabs of the UAE and Qatar are reaching back to a time when Archetecture, design and spatial space design was at its forefront of their history.

Your videos are all good because you film some crew interaction during boarding; however, if you'd film crew interaction during meal/drink service as well, your videos would all be excellent and I'd be a huge fan
the Luxury Travel Expert I would've thought that was your logic IF you hadn't filmed any of the cabin crew during boarding (which is an important part of their job) but since you did film them completely during boarding, I thought you'd also think it's okay to film them at least a little bit during meal/drink services too but apparently there's something about boarding that you find to be completely different from meal/drink services that would justify your filming them in their entirety versus nothing at all. I'd be curious to know why that is. In any case, overall, your videos are still pretty good.

Awesome video. IMO emirates has the best business class even though on the 777 I flew was 2-3-2. I just like the dual screens and having full control from a tablet.
Natzoo well 777 and a380 are the only airctafts they have amyways majority is 777 so yes emirates do not have the best but yes one of the best business class( i meant a380)

What I do is making the movie with text (Moviemaker), finish it and then record again to add and watermark-text over the whole lenght of my video. Watch my Zandvoort trackday-video for an example...
The food offerings though are just so-so in my opinion, based on a visit three months prior to this video. Table service from a menu was unavailable I was told

the Luxury Travel Expert Yes that is indeed the case. The Armani kits are obviously much better and nicely stocked with a small Gio perfume (one of my personal favorites) however, the bag itself is old fashioned and generic. QR has recently refreshed them a bit, but I was hoping for something more substantial and perhaps with more QR branding from the exterior. They have also partnered with Brics for their new FC kits.
Can you go on a trip in Videos in Algeria for example in Algiers, to Tipaza and to Constatine etcetera because in Algeria he(it) ya many thing to be seen and to be discovered
Qatar Airways has different layouts on their Airbus A330s. It's difficult to predict which one you will get. Perhaps you can explore the Qatar Airways seat map for your flight and compare it to the matching seat plan on Seatguru. What resort will you stay at? I wish you a great holiday!
I fly Qatar business class a couple of times a year. But usually on their 777, A350 or 787. This will be my first time on their A330. It's only a 4 hour flight so I'm sure it will be just fine. I actually like their 777 with the old biz class more than the A350 or 787. Staying at Vilamendahoo. Probably not as luxury as the places you reviewed but we picked it because it is supposed to have one of the best house reefs and we are going to snorkel for 7 days.
I am flying Qatar's B777 next month (it was supposed to be an A350 but they swapped it to a B777). Vilamendahoo looks wonderful. Enjoy your holiday, and the snorkeling! Warm regards

When was this trip taken? This was before the severance of diplomatic ties between Qatar and Maldives. But upon checking today, QR still has flights between the two countries.

BC Seats without direct access to the aisle are a no-go. Qatar can do much better - as seen with the lounge for example.

A great video, just one question, as you had a window seat is it hard to access the aisle when the other traveler has their seat in the bed position?

No, that was no mistake :). I believe they do not hand out the stylish Armani kits on shorts flights like the one from Doha to Male (only 4 hours).

A350 is newer and more modern, but I am 6'2" and find their 777 biz to be a lot more comfortable. Get one of the 2 middle seats if traveling solo.
