It’s crazy to wrap our minds around how much damage Helene did. I sent y’all a dm on instagram but the weekend before Helene hit we visited Marion Nc and camped at Mountain Stream and just fell in love with it. So sad it was wiped away.
It’s truly saddening to see all this. Bless everyone who has had to go through this devastation in all states we’ve watched on TV. I’ve done nothing but..cry for all. I hope and pray for all to come back together for everyone.
Thank you guys for showing us places that are open and a way to help them. Plan a visit and spend time, money that would be an encouragement to those businesses. I hope some the beautiful campgrounds you have previously shown will be open too. Greatly appreciate you guys for continuing to help the areas by way of your videos! You always have a very good program.
Continued Thoughts and Prayers for all those affected in western North Carolina and East Tennessee we all can't give up on these people y'all we will be with you.
Happy to see you visit Damascus, we are about 10 minutes from Damascus. If you all went on around the curve Karen mentioned you would have seen the devastating effects from Helene mobile homes, campground and homes totally gone. It is so sad for the economy in Damascus this is the peak season for them. One of our favorite restaurants in Damascus is Wicked Chicken they have the best food in the area my opinion. This is the time of year that makes the money so they can survive in the winter months. There is talk of rerouting the Appalachian trail and possibly not building back the creeper trail if this happens i just don't know what will become of the friendly little town. Thanks for sharing and encouraging people to visit.
We did go on around and see the damage and it will be in a video coming soon. We had the Wicked Chicken in our first video to Demascus and enjoyed. Thank you for sharing and we pray they make a full recovery.
Thanks for showing us the devastation. The news here in Georgia are not showing anything about it, so I have to rely on good folks like you guys to get the latest news. But in the midst of devastation, there is beauty. There is God!
You've shown the first wild life I've seen in many watched videos from other youtubers. That is hope right there! Love to see a follow-up in the spring.
All the damage is so sad to see. I was surprised at the river water clarity by the mill. Seems like most of the tributaries around Asheville are still pretty cloudy. Travel safe!
It breaks my heart to see all the damage. It is so strange to see the creeks/rivers now and they all look so peaceful and then you see the places where the water flooded to. It is so sad to see the new paths the water is now taking. Water is very strong. After seeing all of the damage from our mountains, I will never drive on a flooded road, go around, don't drown. I never have but I really never will now. It will take a long time for all the communities to even recover, all we can do is support the ones that are able to even open. It is really a sad situation with the holidays right here at us. Thanksgiving is a time for all to be very thankful for what we do actually have and do not take things for granted because it can be taken away in a spilt second. We really need to think about Thanksgiving this year. So many do not even have a home and they have lost loved ones, it really is so sad. Praying for NC/TN mountain communities. They have been showing on the Weather Channel and local tv stations, buy a NC Christmas tree this year, it is very hard for me to even think about Christmas this year, but we do need to celebrate our wonderful birth of Jesus, without him we would have nothing.
Hi you guys good to see you here in Augusta Georgia they are still cutting up tree's so many there running out of places to carry them but with God's help everyone will rebuild God bless you all
Prayers continue for all those affected... 🙏

Thanks for showing us the devastation of the hurricane. Our areas were hit hard, but so blessed it was not like NC TN and VA. 💔

I want to go to cherokee from Gatlinburg but I've never driven Newfoundgap road in my life, and was wondering how difficult it is right now?
From Gatlinburg up to the top is pretty curvy but down the other side is not bad. The traffic is really bad right now.
