They got rid of her because she was pregnant. What idiots. Had they gotten her spayed like decent owners, they wouldn't have had a pregnant dog😠😠. Thank you for taking her💖
My husband and I adopted our pup from a shelter. She was left there pregnant by her previous owners. I can’t imagine how scared she was. She is the sweetest dog alive. We call her our comfort dog. We also brought home the last pup available from her litter. So now mom and daughter are with us together as besties. 💛🐶🐶💛
If I adopted her…….she and her puppies would be staying with me forever! All mine!
It always makes me sad to see a dog completely shut down and lie on the ground refusing to move. 😢

Having a pet is a lifelong commitment. They're not toys, they're not accessories or status symbols. This poor dog doesn't understand why she was abandoned. She doesn't know what she did wrong. I'm so glad you brought her home. She needs to learn that unlike her owner, there are people she can trust and love that will love her and care for her no matter what.
These dogs are so attached to their owners. This really damages them so much
Maybe she wasn't ABANDONED...maybe the family had a crisis and they no longer had a home or money or whatever resources to care for this very healthy dog. She was humanely surrendered, because someone obviously wanted her to be cared for properly. My Uncle died...and fortunately I was able to take in his elderly dog. Otherwise the dog would have been surrendered. But he wasn't rehomed because my uncle wasn't committed to him...but BECAUSE HE DIED. Stop being so negative and judgmental.
This breaks my heart. Look how sweet she is. Ok, maybe people couldn't handle the pregnancy, but jeeze! They were her everything. I can't imagine the feeling she had. It's just not right.

@@watermelonlover745 But like humans, the heart gradually heals. ❤️🩹 I was rehomed a few times myself and I’ve received several dogs that were also. Eventually we knit our souls into the fabric of each others’ lives.. I know they will ALL greet me one day again. 😃

Remember that everything happens for a reason, Pony would have never received all the love & care she deserves if the previous owner hadn’t taken her to the shelter. Entire family is safe, loved & will prosper.
People likes the cuteness at first but never think longer term. So when they got to that point, they cant handle it, they just leave

Goldens are the best dogs. It makes me sad they got rid of her because they allowed her to become pregnant. If they didn’t want puppies they should have had her fixed. Her previous owners were cruel. Thank you so much for giving all these precious babies a second chance at both life and love.
And they could have waited until the puppies were born to spay mama Pony and her puppies when the puppies were old enough!

A golden being that scared and shut down is even more heartbreaking. That’s the happiest breed of all time. Poor girl must’ve been terrified. Glad she was able to give birth in a stress free environment without all the barking dogs scaring her.

Good of you to offer to house that pregnant dog. I hope all the puppies are now in good homes with loving hooman families. As for Mom, PLEASE neuter her ASAP. A neighbor dog had 3 litters in 18 to 24 months. She was a good Mom, but no animal should have to go through so much. Each litter went to the local humane society. I pray that they are okay & in decent homes.
PLEASE PEOPLE: SPAY & NEUTER AT FOUR MONTHS OR AS THE ANIMAL REACHES MATURITY. THERE ARE ENTIRELY TOO MANY BABIES THAT WILL BE ABANDONED OR ABUSED OR BOTH. That includes human babies as well. IF you love your fur-baby take care of them. No more excuses. PLEASE!

What is disgusting person whoever dumped this poor dog at the animal shelter just because they didn’t want to deal with her pregnancy!!! Maybe if they would’ve been responsible and got her fixed like most people do then this wouldn’t have happened. suck a cruel person, I remember the joy that my dog brought with her puppies. We wanted them so much even we have planned that after she turned 2 years old as we wanted to be sure that she can safely carry the puppies. We even planned which heat was best for her as we wanted her and the puppies to enjoy the nice summer weather.
She carried 6 puppies( one was still born unfortunately) and we were left with 5 beautiful puppies 1 girl and 4 boys. We even kept one of the boys and it was the best decision ever as they are so happy together
She had 8 puppies. That's a lot of dogs.
