- I am so proud about this one, and really hope you like it too, it may even inspire you to start your project today! 😉
In this Video: I am going to show how I restored my absolute dream classic car without any experience. The nut and bolt restoration took me 7 years and it is now nearly complete. My dream classic car is a -1973 Mercedes Benz SLC350 (w107/c107) with a manual gearbox and I think this may well be one of the best examples you will ever see. For me it is the most beautiful car ever made.
A BIG thank you to everyone that has been involved in this project, can't wait to take you all for a ride soon!

great to see that young people are still motivated to do something
Haha, thanks!😁
A 350 SLC with a MANUAL transmission! What a rare find! You have the BEST taste. I really like your European velour upholstery. Very few American-market Mercedes had that kind of upholstery! That's more comfortable than the leather or MB-Tex seats I usually sat in. Beautiful restoration work! I hope you enjoy that long road trip you're planning. Having driven in Europe for many years, I think you'll enjoy yourself. Have a safe journey.
Thank you so much! I love the spec of the car so much, green over tan interior and manual gearbox. What else could you ask for 🤷🏽♂️
Nice to see a younger guy being interested in renovating old Mercs. I have -71 SL with manual so not so far apart. Wish you all the best with your project.
Really great job. Promise me, you’ll take your dad and the neighbor who helped you out to dinner.
Good to hear you say your car will never be driven in the rain again. My 560 SL will never see fog and rain is out of the question. We like to say in California the people get old but the cars stay the same.
Thank you. 😊 Without a doubt, I will take them on a ride to a really nice destination. 🤝🏼 Haha!😁
I am with you. Mercedes-Benz R107 is the BEST looking car ever made. ❤
😎
Got a 79 450 SLC..full of hard brittle vacuum lines..lol..good one buddy..from.Aust
Excellent! Glad to see you appreciate these old Mercs. I have a '73 450SL. Such great cars.
I am glad you liked it! And it is not like crazy known and sort after model, so I think that makes it even cooler, it is more like: if you know you know. 😁 More videos about the car coming really soon!
Great job! Congrats. This is most probably not your last project 😄 now that you know what it takes. Doing projects is a life style for some
Yeah, and it is most definitely not the only ongoing project car I have at the moment!😂
Wonderful job. Excellent attention to high standards. Great car for you to take thru your life.
Thank you! I think so too😊
Congratulations to you I have a 380 SL but the US model 1983. I’m just starting to really like it again and drive it every single day kudos to you. I can’t believe you did all that it’s a labor of love awesome
Thats awesome, thank you!😎
Das ist sehr interessant.
Thank you!
Great work ! I know how difficult it can be… really nice car and to finish it is long, but your can see the finished project !
Thank you! More of this project coming soon.😊
Beautiful car. I totally get why you love it.
Thank you. 😎
Fantastic result for such a young man, and every time you look at it you will remember the all the people who helped you along the way👍
Thank you so much! It is all about the memories, trips and people around these cars.🤝🏼
looks great. well done.
Thanks! I do my best.🤝🏼
Congrats man! You should be really proud of yourself. What an achievement. That’s going to be one amazing road trip!!
Thank you, for sure it will!😎
Great Man, every young man should do a project like this.
Haha, yeah you learn so many things.
Love your work! Keep it up👍🏼 There is something about old benzes😍
I will 🤝🏼 there is something BIG in them 😮💨🤤
Great work on restoring this! Looking forward to more videos on this car.
Thank you! There is more to come.😎
Congratulations! Excellent work and amazing commitment!
It is a gorgeous car and im sure the toad trip will be a fond memory.
Im also an R107 owner in the USA (AZ) and yes, great car to own!
Thank you! It sure will.😎
I really love how you planned your route across Europe!
Great job with your car too, congratulations!
Hahaha, yeah it’s the final result from a lot of planning 😂
Very good, nice car I like it.
Thank you!
Did you convert single road chain to double? I have just replaced mine on 560sl, tensioner and rails were ''kaput"...
I used magnets to hold down my rubber door sills while the glue dried
That was the best comment I have ever recieved!😂 Thats a REALLY GOOD idea!🤯
Very nice man! Although as a new owner of a very rusty 280ce it makes me nervous of the amount of effort and expense I'm going to have to put in.
Haha hope it will be better than mine 😁👍🏼
Respect to you, that's some serious man hours and work you've put in there along with your friend. Love it when old Mercs are saved. Because these have the fixed roof I guess they probably have a more serene/quieter ride with no scuttle shake, a nice cosseted place to be. To be fair the car looked pretty nice before you started but who'd have thought the rear panel was all fillered up. How will you prevent it from getting wet on your tour around Europe? I always wanted the 300SL but even a rusty example was out of reach when I was 17, .....perhaps one day maybe!
Can't wait to hear you start her up. 👍😎
Thank you! I have also done pretty extensive work in the sound insulation so it should be a quite nice and quiet inside the car. 😁 To prevent it from getting wet around our trip I have no idea apart from looking at the forecast. It will not be the end of the world since all of the seals are new etc. but still I would really like to keep it in dry conditions.😄🤷🏽♂️
Great work dude! Pierre Hedary could be a good resource for you.
Thank you! That was a good tip.👍🏼
Sick!🔥
Thanks 😎 Are you going to join on that dream roadtrip?😮💨
I will join to your road trip next summer!
Carshopping soon?🤔
good work son
Thanks
How did you get thos window frames in place!?
It is amazing I know 🤯 take it out, and do it again 7 times and you learn. 😊
Shes beautiful.
And so classy 😮💨
6000km seems to be about 2000€ in fuel. Good luck with that. Otherwse, car looks btter than factory
Haha yeah I allready have a co driver to split the cost. I would say worth it for the once in a lifetime experience. 😄 Thank you, I am trying my best!
How u did that man
A lot of learning new and time.😂
Ro you attend car auction
Do you attend car auction
Never been.
toppilaisille kredittiä😂😢
🤠
Very nice car, but it’s weird that the most important thing for you is the things no one will see…
Haha sure! 😁
The SLC is the most redundant model to come from the 80s it's not a convertible but it looks the same on a slightly longer wheelbase. Usually only weirdos like these cars🤷🏽♂️ congrats but the SEC is a better car for the money
I guess that I just have a soft spot for all big coupe cars 😂 SEC is a really sweet ride as well!
@@lassip_ idk what the market is where you live, prob across the pond. But here in the US, the SEC is King of the coupes. As far as Mercedes stuff goes..
Bloody hell what a sower bastard you are
This is his car and he put his hart and sole in to it and good on him.
In my country right now Yong men sit around drinking doing drugs and playing on there phones
It's wonderful to see this guy working. Hard making his dreams come true bonding with his family and learning about hard work dedication patience and lots of new skills.
Your comments is moronic.
@@wm9904 the slc rocks man
