Thanks for this. Some of the other play throughs didn’t seem like the people were having fun playing, but you were getting into it and sold me on this game!
That confuses me. Playthroughs can be really cumbersome to set up, film, etc. if you’re not having fun and showing it, why bother? Oh well, glad you enjoyed my play :).
Thanks Jason, great stuff! Looks interesting. Watched Colin's playthrough yesterday and agree with him that it makes a nice change not to have to kill everything! lol
I’ve finally figured it out after a lot of reviews, this game is based on Gene Wolfe’s Urth series. Post-apocalyptic far-future fantasy. The Conciliator was the giveaway. I may need to get it now. If there’s a character called Severian I win a buck.
Didn't watch much, avoiding spoilers, but can't wait to get mine to the table over the holiday time. Really feel the need to sleeve the game first- the eco-friendly cards don't feel like they'd hold up as much. But just seeing the RPG elements is drool-worthy stuff!
Thanks for the video! This looks like what I wanted 7th continent to be. I just want to run around and explore, but I found 7th continent a little too frustrating when I didn’t get the cards I needed.
So excited to see you get into Earthborne! I'm absolutely loving this game. Why am I not surprised at all you picked Conciliator? Haha great fit for you I think Jason!
Thanks, this is the first time I've seen anything besides biscuits being delivered! It looks like it might easy to "hack" stand-alone quests to write your own. One question, are you having FUN with the game? I've seen other playthroughs in which the players don't seem like they're having fun.
How weird. What’s the point of going through the to-do of filming without communicating fun? It was in my top 10 for the year. Finished the campaign. I’d say it’s fun :)
In response to your "correction" in the description, I think the pets all have the persistent keyword, which means they stay with you when your travel :)
I wonder if they gonna deliver that game translated into Poland. Would be nice, unless it's not a retail sale game but yet another KS exclusive. (I am looking at you, Homeworld Board Game!)
Thanks for the playthrough. I have preordered this game so it's great to see some coverage. One question though. The task for the game says to leave prey to the side until you have 5. The two beings you set aside were predators on their cards. Was the playthrough correct or are there different types of cards named prey in this scenario? Just curious as this looked fun and it might be a scenario I try early on but wanted to make sure I wasn't misunderstanding the rules.
Just another rule clarification I don't see in another comment : you shouldn't have been able to clear your mission by collecting predators that don't have the "pray" keyword. Thematically it change a bit the game as you will be pulling all the prays from the deck, leaving you with only predators and you as the only pray in the surrounding ^^
Awesome guide . I own the game but because english it's not my mother langyage your playthrough example solve many questions about the game . Ι have a request ...can you explain me if the "mission delivery " mission affected by time limitation because I have try it ,with a deck I built but I can 't complete it in a day . Thanks in advance .
@@OneStopCoopShop Hi there again and thank you for the reply...in the begining(prologue) it's the mission called "biscuit delivery"...do I have to complete it a day?
@stefanosstefanos401 You have a couple of days, I believe. There is a mission timer. Keep the quest and try to fulfill it until the Lore book tells you to stop.
What would be the average time for single game/ mission, including setup, gametime and putting it back in the box. I'm looking for something to play solo that fits in the timeframe between, kids in bed, I can set up, play a game and put it away in 2-3 hours max.
@@OneStopCoopShop Ok thank you. I've only just got into solo boardgaming with tales of the red dragon inn and I'm exploring what I want to play after I finish that one.
When it shows up, it fatigues the player. That means you take a card from the top of your deck and put it in the fatigue pile. Not a great thing to happen!

That little day demo was a whole journey in itself. I purchased this today. I’m looking forward to it!
Thanks for sharing. Boy, that was one busy day.

wonderful playthrough. thank you. I have a copy on preorder and cannot wait to dive into this over the holiday season.
You are quite welcome!

They really want to! Let’s see how popular it is

The One Day mission on the website specifically says to use predators and prey. In the normal game, it’s just prey.

The one day mission said that predators counted.
@@OneStopCoopShop Oh yeah I missed it ! Thanks 👍
Hey Jason, what (if any) add-ons would you suggest for a two player game? The wooden tokens look nice. Is the card doubler pack worth it?
I have never used the doubler. Don’t intend to. I’m not big on crafting individual decks, I just like to grab and go.

It depends on the mission, I think. I have been able to complete my timed missions (usually Helping Hand) in one day. Which mission is too difficult?

That’s my exact timeframe for solo game and/ or recording. Once you know this game, it’s fits in there.

Not a native speaker but is it not mechanisms instead of mechanics?
Either is ok.
The Velox looks like it says Ambush. What does that do?
When it shows up, it fatigues the player. That means you take a card from the top of your deck and put it in the fatigue pile. Not a great thing to happen!
@@OneStopCoopShopthink it's each time the predator moves within reach (not only the first time it appears)
@@OneStopCoopShopLittle correction: you suffer fatigue equal to the presence of that card. So you might fatigue more than one card.
