This girl can sing like anything. She can do insane and vocally demanding songs ( such as Whitney, Mariah and Celine songs). She can sing rock songs (Heart Medley, Aerosmith etc). She can channel her inner Disney Princess voice (she has a song under Disney called "Imagine More"). She can do Broadway because she has an experience in musical theater (She Used to Be Mine and her incredible rendition of Defying Gravity). She can be gospel-y too if she wants to (Could You Be Messiah, Oceans, and a lot more gospel songs. This one was emotional).
Also, she can play instruments like piano and guitar while singing live. Now, she's even exploring her skills in songwriting and song producing by putting up her own stuff in her platform (EP entitled "Signature"). Her EP is a must listen track. It has 5 songs and the lyric video, and as well sa the live performances, were all uploaded in her channel. Check that out.
The great thing about the internet is that we get to know Morissette and her unbelievable talent. The unfortunate thing about the internet is that we have to put up with buffoons and ignoramuses. Best to just ignore them and not even mention their comments.

People that say she's miming are what I call haters. Haters are people that have a favourite singer and when somebody comes along that becomes a challenge to their favourite singer, they try to demean that person by degrading them as much as they can so their favourite can stay on their pedestal.

I agree, I have reacted to singers On my channel and mention the smallest critic and they get very mad and rude lol I don't see these as real fans of music. they are just another part of what kills the music industry. you need to find the beauty in all performances not just put one act at the top and disregard anything else. There is no such thing as the best singer as we all have different tastes that link to our emotions.
I think you might actually enjoy some of her Kumu performances she sings live in her living room with just her piano and she takes requests. I’ve seen these live and it’s astonishing watching her do these 1 hour long impromptu performances while she talks to you. She did an “Evanescence “ song called “My Immortal “. It’s haunting. Lipsyc in the Philippinens is something thats not liked at all, if you do Lipsyc they will throw you off the stage or TV Programm as simple as that, near to everyone sings in the Philippinens or plays an instrument, now Mori lost her voice before going on stage and came out and told everyone that she would still sing with the help of the her fans and backing vocals, the show must go on, thats a true professionell, watch POWER first take in there recording Studio after being ill for some time, its fantastic, her husband Dave Lamar cannot believe how great she is singing after being ill, even better than before. There were times that she went out of key, yes but remember your listening to a live recording unprocessed. 99% per cent of singers do the same but their vocal is tweaked through Melodyne, a software that very easily fixes long high notes with no computer sound. This is something that unless you work in the industry most people don't know.

If your a singer is very hard to be able to constantly sing on a transition after another.
