I don't know why DCS users are so obsessed with flying in bad weather. It reminds me of how miserable it was to work on the Flight Deck.
Me personally, I think it looks cool and it just poses more of a challenge than good weather flying.
It seems cozy in the cockpit 😂

But the Navy recruiting ads always show the carrier in San Diego or Honolulu.
Is the weather randomized? or manually set in the maps.
It's manually set. There is an option to have it function dynamically, but I haven't quite figured that out yet.

I have an RTX 3080
very nice. procedure whould have you have a HUD on one MFD as a backup in case of Hud failure rather than the useless SA page
Thanks! Although there are no SA pages open, the double HSI is just for convenience. The other screen is set to the ACLS.
