I think the disaster for Malta is the 1693 Sicily earthquake - the Mdina cathedral was almost entirely destroyed, and 60k were killed in total. Great commentary btw, keep up the good work :D
I wonder who makes these maps or how they do it? Most people don't know about most of these disasters around the world so I wonder how they research it to the exact location?
@@TheIrishGeoGuessr yea I don't know of most disasters that happened halfway accross the world or even halfway accross my country if it wasn't in my lifetime, in history books, or something I came accross otherwise

I expect they start with articles like Wikipedia's list of disasters by death toll (in country) and follow links from there.
