If I could retire anywhere without restrictions, I'd probably retire in Dana Point. I fell head over heels for this place after a quick overnight stay. My biggest regret is not staying longer. I revisit often, but always leave already planning my next visit.
Hi Chris! I live in Mission Viejo so when I go to the beach I generally go to Dana Point. I like the harbor and like to get a bite then head down behind the ocean institute. It's very relaxing. Great video Chris!
@@YellowProductions For their last anniversary, I took my parents to the Harbor Grill. A bit more pricey than we usually eat at but it was a special occasion after all and we enjoyed it. Then we had some ice cream. Over all a pleasant time.
The headlands trails were definitely a highlight! I liked the second set of trails where you can get views of the lantern district, the harbor, and salt creek beach at the same time
Also a really awesome sea cave if you keep walking we’re he said the tide pools are but only go at low tide! And theres an amazing waterfall in Dana point harbor that you can only see while it’s raining heavily!
Dana Point looks quite nice! I like how there are some beaches there which do not have many crowds. It's a bummer that the trail was closed that day, but I bet it will be nice when it reopens!

Your videos are so enthusiastic and fun! Used to take my kids to Baby Beach back in the mid-80s. Coming to Capistrano for a concert at the Coach House in October going to stay at a hotel in Dana Point and I'm looking forward to having a great time down there
I have lived in Orange County most my life, and have traveled all around the world but Dana Point feels like home. I miss how it was, living there in the 90s when it really was less discovered. All my friends are inlove with Laguna Beach but I enjoy Dana so much more. This video should have mentioned Happy Hour at Wind and Sea at the Harbor and if you like fish and chips then John's fishmarket is the place to go. Strands and Salt Creek are awesome if you are going in the water but if you plan to just put your feet in then it doesn't get easier then Baby beach.
Dana Point looks lovely! And it looks super close to the airport we use when we fly to Disneyland (John Wayne). We will have to stop through next time we make it out to California. Which probably won't be for a while unfortunately. Thanks for showing us around Chris!
