This hits different knowing this happens right after Rico is born...
I have a theory that rico is made of tge remaings of a sniper robot to make a bubble gum machine, thats why rico is a robot with a gum machine.
(Also it connects to ricochet somehow,like if ricochet died in battle and starr park used his parts to make the machine.)
After the purple gem interacted with rico, he got up as his past him, and felt in love with the vending machine, and the rest of the theory is the animation.
But thats just a theory, a brawl theory.

Tbh i liked the idea of gentle giant for frank. In-game he always seemed like a chill dude who would never get angry at anybody lol but these animations prove it wrong
