Sort of feels like a prototype of the trip mine gadget, but with the benefit of being used outside of combat to let you perch from almost anywhere. Given how the enemies don't seem to react, I can guess it was cut for either time constraint reasons, or not being working out the way they had hoped. If it were to be reimplemented, I could imagine the lines being good for setting traps from angles you wouldn't be able to normally reach, while also being a way to tangle enemies. Like drop a line between two thugs, then knock a third into it and they momentarily get stuck on one another and you can either web them down or have some breathing room to deal with other foes.
I would have preferred this over the gravity thing, the shocker blast, and the drones. I always hated to super high tech stuff because there's no conceivable way he just has those lying around if he has to worry about being evicted. The web stuff makes sense because it's practical and fits his theme.
Not necessarily just that, but it doesn’t seem like something spidey would have on him. My favourite gadgets are ones that are an actual variation on his web shooters, sort of like with the McU version
Agreed, web based gadgets are the best, i still roll with the shockwave one just cuz is fun sending dudes flying around and making rain men, but the spider drones are forgetable, and the gravity well is ridiculous, i mean wtf, i rather stick with the regular and impact webs (pun intended)
@@isaacbaca3709 that in itself is stupid. He shouldn’t have the resources. He can’t even pay rent. Web shooters alone push the boundaries of suspension of disbelief. Anti gravity shit is stupid
@@RealReverse13The drones help to beat enemies but there is no control or predictability with them, they aren't something a player can use creatively, and their hits don't count for your combo. Feels like an import from their Ratchet & Clank games.
@@RealReverse13 Yeah it does help me too but it just doesn’t work like spider bro is also kinda a drone and he can do better the actual drone gadget kinda just gives the enemies a push it doesn’t really like electrocute them
spider drone sucks (imo) because it's doing your job for you. The best mechanics enable You to do something more instead of doing it for you. Essentially, I see the web line being cut as them taking an easy way out compared to a drone that flies & shoots.
@@0KJaye Yeah and the drone hits don't count towards the combo so I avoid them for that reason, too. It's a gadget that feels more at home in their Ratchet and Clank series.
I can see why this was cut. It wouldn't make sense for them to be able to be connected to 2 enemies when the line would lose slack depending on how close the two enemies are to each other.
It could've worked if it had similar functionality to the tripwire webs, where it's an elastic web line that yanks enemies towards each other (or towards level geometry).
I like that a lot. Maybe in future games they can revisit it. Perhaps make it work a little different on enemies but keep it some what like it is here for the environment.
If you're paying attention, you'll notice that most levels have a lot of beams that you can get on. A lot of people are saying this is like a prototype for the trip mine which I don't see how they're getting that conclusion since this feels more like Batman's line launcher gadget.
If you have Spider-Man Remastered on PC then there are mods to add it on Nexus Mods. If you only have the PS4 version of the game you'll have to get Save Wizard to modify a save file to have it. I can't just link a save file with it as save files on PS4 are tied to PSN IDs. I'm not even entirely sure how to do this as I was given this save by a friend. There is a way to resign save file to a different PSN ID so I could link my save to you and then you could resign the save file to your PSN ID. I do think these programs cost money though so beware of that. (And if you want it on the PS5 version of the Remaster you'd have to also have the PS4 version so you can transfer the modified save file.)
Maybe it got cut before it was finished - if people who get pushed into the webline got stuck it would be really handy, we could even make our own spider webs.
you don't use it like that. you can use it to jump from other positions while standing on it or if you need another angle or just for fun like how peter used it in homecoming. it doesn't mean no one wants to use it just cause you deem it so lmao
Look, I love this game, but the fact that they decided to cut this but had suspension Matrix be in the game, it's stupid. They should have cut the suspension Matrix and put in the web line. This would be so damn useful in stealth missions. Hopefully they will have this in the sequel.
