The NEW Tourist Destination in Mexico? What to SEE and DO in TWO Days in Celaya, Guanajuato

I'm back in Celaya, Guanajuato, one of my favorite places in Mexico for many reasons. The biggest reason is the Exploding Hammer Festival in nearby San Juan de la Vega, but there's also so much more to see, do and eat here!

There was that shooting last week, north of Centro, hopefully an isolated incident. Otherwise I love Celaya!

It's the world most dangerous place due to murder rate. after Gaza, Celaya is second in number of death by violence

I don't think it's on the list of the world's most dangerous cities, but it has had some bad incidents lately

The reason why that is, is because the narcos are fighting over the territory. I was born there and always visit every summer and winter. ts a shame that they set their eyes on Celaya 😢

It's pretty bad lately, I wouldn't recommend to visit until things settle down. But it's actually such a nice city with food and culture, when it's safer.
