I discovered this channel when I was in high school. Time goes by too quickly man, it almost felt like it was just yesterday, when it's been 8 years since.
Thanks you for your comment. Was working on this one for about 28 hours, the U.N. Owen Remix took me about 25 hours, Cinderella Cage ca 20 hours, Necrofantasia 44 hours and the Phantom Ensemble Remix (because of several changes) about 50 hours. All working time so no breaks etc. included in the time.
I actually don't really play games that much and even though I like the KH OST, a remix is rather unlikely, sorry. (but maybe if some song from the KH3 OST catches my eye)
Oh it's not a problem. If you've got any questions, just ask! The DAW (=digital audio workstation) I use is FL Studio, but that's basically just the user interface. It should be possible to create the exact same track in different DAWs like Ableton Live, Reason, Bitwig, Cubase, etc. if you use the same sounds, samples and Synths. I just use FL Studio because I like the interface and the handling. regarding synths: You can basically use every synth to create awesome sounds. Look for example for some 3xOsc tutorials on youtube, the synth is sooo simple yet with the right knowledge you can get good sounds out of it. I like to use Omnisphere, but that's because I usually produce ambient/chill stuff. If you want the kind of electro sounds you hear on the radio or from many producers you have to look for Synths like "Sylenth 1" or "Massive". On the one hand they may sound good, but on the other it will probably sound really generic. Other interesting, less generic synths I like are "Harmor", "Cyclop" or "Sytrus", but depending on knowledge and money you might want to start with some simple stuff. For effects: basic effects are sufficient most of the time. I used some flangers, reverb, and compressors as well as many EQs and some other stuff. If you know the basics of an EQ, delay, distortion, reverb, flanger, phaser and chorus you are most of the time good to go. Every DAW should have these standard effects. If you know the basics and want to expand your knowledge and sound you can try using other, different effects or try using a more complex version of an effect you already know (for example if you know how a basic distortion FX works you might want to try more complex stuff like the "Ohmicide" Plugin from Ohm Force) And for samples: I use many different samples from many different sample libraries I collected over the years... You can get nice free stuff if you look around, like goo.gl/5yXiVx (there is a download in the description, you just have to like the facebook page to download it). There are sooo many different kind of samples and sample-packs depending on the style you want to achieve. Some advice at the end (if you want to make electronic music yourself): 1) Don't use the "Nexus 2" Synth... I use it sometimes and I know it sounds nice, but the synth is lacking creativity and there is not much room for individuality as you're basically just working with preset sounds. So you won't learn much using it. 2) If you want to produce electro, trance, house, whatsoever you sooner or later might want to look up "sidechaining". It's an essential technique used in electronic music production. 3) Oh yeah and... have fun! I probably wrote a bit too much, but I hope I could help. -JSRM
