I believe the song was written for a song festival originally. It was made popular by Regine Velasquez. Mori was chosen to sing the 25th Anniversary revamped version of this song. Check it out.

Truth be said I love Mariah Carey we all know how great she was in the 90s and she was one of morisette inspirations but I believe morisette is much better than Mariah she has so much more vocal capabilities and tools in her vocals and the thing I realize about morisette is her breath management she do so many things in one breath it’s so visible if you watch closely she uses her breathing techniques through out the songs she sings she had an interview where she said she never had professional vocal training the only training she had was from a breath management coach and it really paid off because it shows in every video I watch that’s what I always focus on because that’s what make her transitions seamless and her tone is a big plus

I love the performances the WISH bus gets, but when it's this good I also despise them for playing their stupid station plug (twice!) over singers. They damage these performances permanently for a plug that even in their own market is of negligible value.
