On a track prep... I'd like to see it in a real street race. That's taking the street out of STREET racing.
With about 4k in rear tires lol maybe more. Only way you can get these new V8s to hook up.....my wife takes my z06 off the line with our 2019 fusion sport V6 twin turbo AWD..and I have 1000$ just in my rear tires and they are 305s....also this launch area was fully heated up a prepped along with tires....
No kidding, thought for sure the trackhawk would get off the line quicker being awd.. camaro’s tuned right.
@FuckTheGovernment BOTH SIDES I was thinking the same thing. I have a 2020 jeep srt and beat way faster cars because of AWD. I was shocked to see it jump off the line like that
That ZL1 is fast AF. I thought he jumped the first light by the slightest of margins, still had no bearing on the race.
Damn. That’s a tough call. He might have just nailed the light. He was guessing it, but I think he nailed it.

That Zl1 is crazy . Seems really dialed in on those launches which is the most important part.
you can see that they test alot and have one of the premier race shops going after hundredth's of a second at a time..

I couldn’t tell if the first race was a jump but that camaro moves out. After watching the second race of them leaving together the camaro being 2wd out powered the awd car and held him off. Well done. Much respect. That thing gets the f down! 👍

@@Hull9 Everyone is saying “luck” this and “luck” that. Does no one realize you can train your reaction time?
Most major flight schools will have a machine specifically for this, targeted towards “stunt plane” pilots. The same machine can be used to fine tune your reaction time when it comes to things similar. To give an example of how the training works, one of the “games” or “programs” they use to train has 16 different places the dot can appear, when the dot appears you click the button as fast as you can get to it.
As the game progresses the light flashes quicker. You fail the “game” or “practice exercise” when you’re to slow to catch the dot which appeared.
Edit- with these simple exercises you can go from a 0.15 reaction time down to a 0.005-0.009.

@@jayy7712 I don’t know to much about CHeVy All I’ve had was mopar and fords but what I can tell you is if u get the 1LE ZL1 u definitely can move out like this just remember it’s a manual so it’s going to be a little bit slower, so It’s going to come down to driver mode

That was a bad bet because the Cherokee weighs so much more they could both have thousand horsepower but the weight reduction is a big factor

If you really want to be that technical in a street race.....go to the track. You'll know fo sho if you red light, you'll know your reaction time and the break down of the entire run.....easy peasy

Lol 😂 If the Camaro adds more power then what ? Lol 😂 the Camaro is slightly upgraded just has really good pro tires the hawk is upgraded up to almost 300 hp and 400 lbs more torque then factory with also good pro tires .

To see these 2 out on the street duking it out made my millenium. I miss my white ZL1 just like the one you in the video. My dumbass totaled it and wasn't even racing it. Love that Trackhawk as well. What I love about the Trackhawk is they are hard to find out on the street. We gotta buying great vehicles like these and locking them away in the garage.

I'm a street racer from way back. I'm 63 years old. Been there done that. I respect what you do. Just be safe out there. My car was running 9's in the late 70's on the street. A 1972 Grand Torino sport. That jeep needs to hang it up. I would have beaten it. So many tricks up my sleeve. Sorry to say my car got totaled. It happens. I'm still alive. If You play you may pay the price. At 63 I'm building another car. My last Hoorah a 1957 300 custom👍 Horsepower hopefully at least 2000
Del did jump by like an inch. If you .25x the speed of their slow-mo, you can see it ever so slightly start to lift the front a frame or two before the light comes on. BUUUUUTTT even if he jumped by an inch, the other dude got beat by WAY MORE than that inch. He lost by a car and a half and the name of the game here is whos faster. Del's car is faster and in this case with it being like a .0001 redlight, I'd still give him the win.
Yeah I played it back that slow & he damn near killed the tree perfect , They need to cut all the other lights. Trackhawk reaction was slow.

To me they left at the same time. The zl just hooked better and the Trans was on point. The trackhawk was suppose to be the beast but GM camaro showed me something because I had lost hope on the GM cars.

why does it sound like the track hawk isn't launching at revs? sounds like he is idling and waiting for the light to even apply any gas ?
Tight converte on the Hawk.. you cant stall it up very much.. the ZL1 has a looser converter and you can hear it in the vids.. Hence why he leaves that Hawk by nearly 2 cars in the first 100ft..
