For reference, the Galaxy has been estimated to have about a measly 100-400 billion stars. Granted both sets of numbers are so impossibly large that there is no reasonable way for a human being to ever have a solid frame of reference when it comes to this magnitude of numbers.

Dna is so similar because DNA is also used to synthesize proteins and whatnot. And since we process same stuff, we have similar dna.
