I think the island clause is a really good idea. You might want to change the healing clause to 3 potions and 3 status healers. Including status healers as one “heal” is pretty detrimental.
I agree, considering how cracked the totems can turn out to be it just feels unreasonable to have to restart the entire Locke with the kind of insanity potentially on every totem.
Or simply take off the heal clause for how broken totems are. But maybe try limiting yourselves to 3 but like if something like TTar shows up again u can break it?
I'm assuming that it probably had +3 to its accuracy stat as well, since all of its stats were boosted, and thats why? But honestly at this point, I also wouldn't be surprised if thats not the case and they just really are that unlucky 😅

IMO if you restart an island you have to no longer use the party you lost with, BUT you get to re-encounter the island. I worry about the 1 video at a time at 3 hours would be tough on the CTR for new viewers, but I’d 100% still watch it.
I like the island clause - it keeps you guys’ life sensible. You could re-randomise your starting party, i.e. keep the level of each Pokemon the same but individually randomise the mon, ability, item etc. would be a very fun first vid looking through the party! Please keep struggling on, we all love this series so much!!!
@@brunooliveira7618 They could use save editing and then a 3rd party site to randomize a pokemon, held item, moveset, ability etc. and change the save to match Edit: Should add that while possible this would be a giant pain for Fruit and Rob as it could straight up wholly invalidate pairs leaving them with like one usable pair out of 6 in a worst case, and even to get best case would take constant rerolling. So, good idea, and I'd enjoy it, but safer to probably not.

Okay! So here's my thoughts on how to start a new island when you wipe; all Pokemon go to the PC RIP Box. Give yourself and Rhab 3 eggs to hatch and there's your new batch (of course in the meantime you can use a dead Pokemon to help raise them up to the appropriate level for the start of the island). OR! After you've re-randomized, travel back to the first 3 routes and catch a Pokemon per route (up to 3) and that's your new team. Best of luck! Love y'all 😘❤️ You can do eeet! If you're gonna count each island as a mini nuzzlocke, then I think its probably fair to rerandomize your starting party. Keep the levels you had but randomize the mons so its more like starting an actual nuzzlocke.
Yeah, or make it so you only use the mons you had in your box. Your old failed mini nuzzlock team gets axed. Regardless of the amount you have in your box, that’s it.
If rhab makes it through that tyranitar fight he is an absolute legend. Edit: Just got to the last fight part and all I can say is regardless of what anyone says, Rhab is a legend and an actual godslayer. A triple boosted Tyranitar is basically a rogue evil god descended only to end his run. I hope Rhab takes the weekend and knows he did his best. Maybe try a dark souls challenge run it’ll be way easier than that tyranitar fight. 😂
No, Rhab just sucks and is an idiot. Literally, Fruit was playing two lockes, its not fun to watch imo, also thought Fire was weak to Ice. I know Rhab doesn't play much pokemon, but honestly its not fun watching. He can't make any choices for himself. I know it sounds mean, but its just what i gather from watching this series
@@TheKrypticX if you really think Rhabs knowledge of Pokémon was to blame for the wipe you know less about Pokémon than he does. That triple boost to every stat made that tyranitar 2.5 times stronger than a normal tyranitar, essentially making it a level 60. Outside of sheer luck like Rhab showed with a lucky crit and luck with its move choices it’s a wipe. It outspeeds and overpowers anything in a nuzlocke.

This might be just me, but I think they should continue the lock from the post crit world where they are currently living in with the new rules in place and maybe they both just have to sack a pair or something along those lines because it’s very unfair to play in and the RNG gods made that nigh impossible to keep going from. Keep going Fruit and Rob this is one of the Best locks you have done so far!
I vote to just let you guys keep going. That fight was absolutely ridiculous. Barely any outs and horrible rng. If you want to give yourselves some consequence, I recommend losing 3 mons to be fair. You can use a random number generator with numbers 1-6. I think that would be fair cost to continue the run. We all been loving the run. Keep it going!

I think a fun way to start each island is to “pick a new starter”. You could look at the first 3 different encounters for the first route of the new island and you get to pick which pair to start with. I really appreciate all the hard work you guys have put into this! Love you guys!

I can't speak for everyone else. But pls take a break if either of you needs it. I can understand the frustration of dying repeatedly (You guys encouraged me to start a nuzlocke of my own playing BW and I died immediately in route 2 by a Purloin that refuse to let me run and not hit a crit). Again, take any sort of breather you need, because if this locke at any point turns from a fun challenge to a depressing obligation, it's not longer content that's enjoyable for any of us, players or viewers and otherwise.

Hey! I know it’s really not my place, but I wanted to share some other changes I’ve thought about. I really like the Island Clause, I think that’ll work well! This game is infinitely hard to Nuzlocke, even as a normal game (much less randomized). As a SoulLink? Crazy difficult. So, proposed changes… 1. The Typing rule, while nice (for variety’s sake), has bit you two a lot. I think it might be better to let it go. Having multiple of the same type is naturally deincentivized in Pokémon, just for weaknesses and stuff. If you have a team of all Psychic, it’ll still suck. And there’s not enough Zacian Steel Fairy typing to make this change be OP. 2. I think the Healing rule should only be applied to Potions and the like, instead of things like Burn Heals or X Items. The reason is because I was theorizing, and if Rhab had an X Defense (which I think is +2 Defense from Gen 7 onward) used it on Guzzlord, he would have gotten +2 Def. BEFORE the first Rock Slide, potentially giving some more wiggle room. If it clicked Chip Away, though… Anyways, I think the 3 Heals is good, but all other times like Status Heals, X Items, etc., could be free game, or have a separate limit. 3 Heals and 3 Other, for example. 3. Lastly, if at all possible, maybe you guys could try to unrandomize the auras? I have no idea if that works, and it also feels slightly wrong, considering almost everything else is randomized. This is the one I’m least convinced about being a good change, but it could be something to think about.
I think the new restarts are fine, but if you are doing it you should by the time of the totem battle only use Pokemon you caught on that island for it

The island clause sounds like a great idea. Maybe if the island clause does come into play, you guys lose a pair of mons or something to acknowledge that there was a "loss"? But have the stipulation that you only lose mons, or whatever feels right, if you have 7 viable pairs or something to not make it too overkill. I think the idea of continuing but boxing the entirety of this episodes team to do so is completely valid with how tough this Nuzlocke has been and just like many others id love to see it continue!
I think if the island clause is ever implemented you should organize your box so that the pairs are corresponding and rerandomize everything. This may cause some pairs to become garbage, god tier, or even become illegal. The illegal pairs will be the punishment. But I think this would be fun and make more opportunities for different things happening. I love the videos and really appreciate the time and effort that goes into making them. Thank you
I totally understand wanting to take a break. I think this is a perfect compromise for the series. I recently worked myself too the bone and my life was unbearable until I reached a point where I had to quit my job. Do what’s best for you that’s what’s important in life. We will be waiting here for you whenever you’re ready to come back.
I think the only way to beat that was to fully heal clefable while sacrificing mons then hoping that sing would put the tyranitar to sleep enough to get hammer arms off. What a crazy nuzlocke.
Rob had a berry (I think) to raise crit chance in a pinch so best option was sac a mon using that berry on clefable with focus sash then hoping for a crit. That was basically it.
Please do a shiny clause. For this up the shiny odds to a reasonable amount and then pair the shiny's in the order they were caught, like the fossils. I think this would be cool because we are adding mons at complete random and we get to see more shinys.
Appreciate all your hard work on this series like you always do. Looking forward to the next episode when it happens, but if you need to take a couple weeks before continuing then do what you need to do for your own sanity! I think it would have been a lot worse to lose to unlucky crits/multiple rolls. If you're going to lose it all, best to lose it all in one roll instead of being chipped away. Still really *really* rough, but there's solace in the fact that there's literally nothing he could have done.

Sorry for the loss boys. We all appreciate the effort you both are putting into this lock! One idea is that you could introduce the Tterror (a bad play on Ttar, I know) clause. You save just before a totem pokemon; if it has the same aura as the Tyranitar did in season 8, you have to fight it once. If you lose, you get one reroll to randomize the totem and try again. If you die on the first attempt against the second mon, you restart the island.

I love the current formula of 30-40 min episodes and the hour of power. But what I love more than that is a Happy Fruit! Take your time and do what's best for you when it comes to playing and editing. We love the work you do and that's why I always come back to watch the nuzlockes. You put so much care and weight on these runs. Episodes that are hours long are gonna be harder for me to enjoy. It's like pausing a movie and then having to pick it back up later. Don't feel bad, that tyranitar was nearly impossible to beat. The island clause and the omega video are great ideas. My only change is that I would say when you restart the island, you put all the pokemon you had into your graveyard and get new encounters from the previous island and rare candy them up to the max level from the previous island. Only thing about the new clause is that there is other stuff to do, like the Team Skull and Lusamine stuff, off the islands, as well as the league, so you need to think about where you will reset when you die at those points.

But after work everyday i would go see her, and while she rested i watched this locke. Ive loved it all and its kept my mind sane in some hard days. If you're gonna count each island as a mini nuzzlocke, then I think its probably fair to rerandomize your starting party. Keep the levels you had but randomize the mons so its more like starting an actual nuzzlocke.
Yeah and if there are any pair that randomize to being illegal just count them as an encounter token
Yeah, or make it so you only use the mons you had in your box. Your old failed mini nuzzlock team gets axed. Regardless of the amount you have in your box, that’s it.

Edit: Just got to the last fight part and all I can say is regardless of what anyone says, Rhab is a legend and an actual godslayer. A triple boosted Tyranitar is basically a rogue evil god descended only to end his run.

No, Rhab just sucks and is an idiot. Literally, Fruit was playing two lockes, its not fun to watch imo, also thought Fire was weak to Ice. I know Rhab doesn't play much pokemon, but honestly its not fun watching. He can't make any choices for himself. I know it sounds mean, but its just what i gather from watching this series

@@TheKrypticX if you really think Rhabs knowledge of Pokémon was to blame for the wipe you know less about Pokémon than he does. That triple boost to every stat made that tyranitar 2.5 times stronger than a normal tyranitar, essentially making it a level 60. Outside of sheer luck like Rhab showed with a lucky crit and luck with its move choices it’s a wipe. It outspeeds and overpowers anything in a nuzlocke.

This might be just me, but I think they should continue the lock from the post crit world where they are currently living in with the new rules in place and maybe they both just have to sack a pair or something along those lines because it’s very unfair to play in and the RNG gods made that nigh impossible to keep going from. Keep going Fruit and Rob this is one of the Best locks you have done so far!

I vote to just let you guys keep going. That fight was absolutely ridiculous. Barely any outs and horrible rng. If you want to give yourselves some consequence, I recommend losing 3 mons to be fair. You can use a random number generator with numbers 1-6. I think that would be fair cost to continue the run. We all been loving the run. Keep it going!

I think a fun way to start each island is to “pick a new starter”. You could look at the first 3 different encounters for the first route of the new island and you get to pick which pair to start with. I really appreciate all the hard work you guys have put into this! Love you guys!

I like the island clause going forward but honestly right now, I would prefer you just continuing with some mons you have in the PC and remake your team from here/after the TTar fight.

I can't speak for everyone else. But pls take a break if either of you needs it. I can understand the frustration of dying repeatedly (You guys encouraged me to start a nuzlocke of my own playing BW and I died immediately in route 2 by a Purloin that refuse to let me run and not hit a crit). Again, take any sort of breather you need, because if this locke at any point turns from a fun challenge to a depressing obligation, it's not longer content that's enjoyable for any of us, players or viewers and otherwise.

Island clause is great! I think island clause and Impossible/Dr. Strange clause is the way to go. This has been the best nuzlocke and I've loved every episode! In whatever form works best I'm pumped for your Empire Strikes Back arc!

It’s okay! Just like there are unwinnable fights in Nuzlockes, this is one of them! Just keep going as is, you weren’t meant to win that fight. I would probably just start with a whole new team and move forward. We love the nuzlocke and all that goes into it!

Hey! I know it’s really not my place, but I wanted to share some other changes I’ve thought about. I really like the Island Clause, I think that’ll work well!
This game is infinitely hard to Nuzlocke, even as a normal game (much less randomized). As a SoulLink? Crazy difficult. So, proposed changes…
1. The Typing rule, while nice (for variety’s sake), has bit you two a lot. I think it might be better to let it go. Having multiple of the same type is naturally deincentivized in Pokémon, just for weaknesses and stuff. If you have a team of all Psychic, it’ll still suck. And there’s not enough Zacian Steel Fairy typing to make this change be OP.
2. I think the Healing rule should only be applied to Potions and the like, instead of things like Burn Heals or X Items. The reason is because I was theorizing, and if Rhab had an X Defense (which I think is +2 Defense from Gen 7 onward) used it on Guzzlord, he would have gotten +2 Def. BEFORE the first Rock Slide, potentially giving some more wiggle room. If it clicked Chip Away, though… Anyways, I think the 3 Heals is good, but all other times like Status Heals, X Items, etc., could be free game, or have a separate limit. 3 Heals and 3 Other, for example.
3. Lastly, if at all possible, maybe you guys could try to unrandomize the auras? I have no idea if that works, and it also feels slightly wrong, considering almost everything else is randomized. This is the one I’m least convinced about being a good change, but it could be something to think about.
That was extremely unfortunate guys. We love the series and will watch as many episodes as you guys can put up.
I think the new restarts are fine, but if you are doing it you should by the time of the totem battle only use Pokemon you caught on that island for it

The island clause sounds like a great idea. Maybe if the island clause does come into play, you guys lose a pair of mons or something to acknowledge that there was a "loss"? But have the stipulation that you only lose mons, or whatever feels right, if you have 7 viable pairs or something to not make it too overkill. Definitely think you guys need something so you can beat the locke, we want you guys to succeed this next run for sure!

I think if the island clause is ever implemented you should organize your box so that the pairs are corresponding and rerandomize everything. This may cause some pairs to become garbage, god tier, or even become illegal. The illegal pairs will be the punishment. But I think this would be fun and make more opportunities for different things happening.

I totally understand wanting to take a break. I think this is a perfect compromise for the series. I recently worked myself too the bone and my life was unbearable until I reached a point where I had to quit my job. Do what’s best for you that’s what’s important in life. We will be waiting here for you whenever you’re ready to come back.
I think the only way to beat that was to fully heal clefable while sacrificing mons then hoping that sing would put the tyranitar to sleep enough to get hammer arms off.

Rob had a berry (I think) to raise crit chance in a pinch so best option was sac a mon using that berry on clefable with focus sash then hoping for a crit. That was basically it.
They tried the to sleep it, you can see it in the fast forward.
Please do a shiny clause. For this up the shiny odds to a reasonable amount and then pair the shiny's in the order they were caught, like the fossils. I think this would be cool because we are adding mons at complete random and we get to see more shinys.
Appreciate all your hard work on this series like you always do. Looking forward to the next episode when it happens, but if you need to take a couple weeks before continuing then do what you need to do for your own sanity! The audience here is smaller but I know we all can wait and look forward to it when you are up to it!

I think the other possibility can be to continue with the lock but every time the party wippes you add 1 to the counter of wippes and see how many wippes or team deaths are at the end of the lock

Sorry for the loss boys. We all appreciate the effort you both are putting into this lock! One idea is that you could introduce the Tterror (a bad play on Ttar, I know) clause. You save just before a totem pokemon; if it has the same aura as the Tyranitar did in season 8, you have to fight it once. If you lose, you get one reroll to randomize the totem and try again. If you die on the first attempt against the second mon, you restart the island.
Unreal bad luck. Keep the head up boys. Thanks for all your hard work on your content, Rhab included. I don't think any of us will ever get sick of this kind of content, and personally I think the island clause is a great idea since I want to see you guys make it to the end of this! Mr.Fruit, we’ve stood by with you through the spicyness that are these nuzlocks for the sole purpose of enjoying YOUR and your cohosts journey through them. You have a great judge of what’s fair and fun. You have more than enough reason to create a new rule for these islands. It flat out is beyond unfair to fight a creature like that T-Tar and essentially defeats the spirit of the lock. So let’s include the new rule for these islands.
As for how much you’ve pushed yourself for us I want to say that your work doesn’t go unnoticed and is greatly appreciated. It one of the highlights of my week. With that appreciation comes reciprocated care for you as well. You should be able to choose the pacing of how many episodes there are in a week. For your own health buddy, choose what’s best for yourself. We’ll come rushing to the episodes when they come out, just make sure to take care of yourself.

I love the current formula of 30-40 min episodes and the hour of power. But what I love more than that is a Happy Fruit! Take your time and do what's best for you when it comes to playing and editing. We love the work you do and that's why I always come back to watch the nuzlockes. You put so much care and weight on these runs. Episodes that are hours long are gonna be harder for me to enjoy. It's like pausing a movie and then having to pick it back up later. The island clause and the omega video are great ideas. My only change is that I would say when you restart the island, you put all the pokemon you had into your graveyard and get new encounters from the previous island and rare candy them up to the max level from the previous island. I love you guys!

Only thing about the new clause is that there is other stuff to do, like the Team Skull and Lusamine stuff, off the islands, as well as the league, so you need to think about where you will reset when you die at those points.

Honestly, I know Rob tends to be really hard on himself and get discouraged, but you have both been rockstars on this locke. Thank you both for keeping up the content. I have been enjoying this series immensely. I also personally want to see this timeline move forward. After grinding for so long, just to see if it was possible to beat that monstrosity, I would like to see that persistence rewarded, but I also understand the integrity of the nuzlocke (even if the game had no integrity by using that thing...). Fruit, my mother has been in the hospital the last week with a brain tumor. She had surgery and its been a stressful, awful week. But after work everyday i would go see her, and while she rested i watched this locke. Ive loved it all and its kept my mind sane in some hard days. I was really rooting for yall, but more than anything im begging yall dont give up. I dont enjoy yalls suffering, but ive thouroughly enjoyed this locke, and youve done alot for me in the last week.
