Great podcast, I am a member of the Richard Iii society and the point you made about his creation of new laws regarding citizens rights is one of the keystones to the Society's argument that Richard was maligned by the victors. He was fighting a battle with many fronts. And his distrust of the Woodville family was the one that probably created all the problems that came after. It's my belief that Richard listened to all the poison being dripped and acted on it as it came to him and was unable, in the end, to differentiate between the truth and rumor.

Late to the party here, but that beginning had me cracking up!! Thanks for doing a podcast about Richard III. I am among those who don't believe he was as horrible as Shakespeare painted him(though I sure would love to play that character!!). I really enjoyed listening to this!

Michelle www.ellethekitty.ca thanks Michelle for your comment! While drivel isn't the most common word used to describe Shakespeare, I'm glad it brought up some passionate feelings for you. He tends to do that to people :)

Gratuitous ugliness is never cool. I hope that all these years later, you've done some growing up.
