Im looking to get one of these too. As for a GX9 grip, get the JJC one, it has a gap in the bottom for battery and card swap outs. It fits well and does make a difference, but...in a couple of weeks, Im getting that 20mm f1.4.
I know you already have the GX-9 (a great camera), but if you wanted an Olympus/OM option, the E-M5 III (or OM-5) has much better AF (and features in general) than the E-M10 series, and is still very portable
I totally agree. On 20 mp, you can not get more resolution and contrast, I think. When I looked at my first images with it, I was just wow. I did mostly nature with it, and some images felt like I could touch it. The lens has no visible flaws under normal lighting situations. That makes the images look so natural, not like a photo.
I did not understand what the problem with the combination Olympus em10 mark IV and Olympus 20 mm F1.4 was?
Totally agree, this is a true gem! I mostly have only this and the 12-100mm in my small bag for travels with the OM-1. The 17mm is like glued to my pen mini though. ❤
Great energy video again! The lens also makes me happy on E-M5iii. But it would make me much more happy on a reasonbly sized weather sealed body with a tilt screen, maybe GX9 is as close as it gets in M43 world. Fuji X-T-series is tempting.
I got the Olympus body because the af on the gx9 was terrible, one of us right, one is wrong
It would be interesting to see a comparison with the 40mm f2.5 G. The weather sealing on the M.Zuiko is the best though. It is the only one to come with the IP rating. It would also be interesting to see how it performs on the EM5 mk3 with its phase detect AF.

it works great with pdaf on my m5iii and I think it balances nicely maybe since it's a little bigger than m10

Hello Tudor, is the strong vignetting effect in some images a lens flaw or did you add it in the post processing?
In post processing. Some are edited with Nik Silver Efex.
How would you compare the XT3 with 27mm f2.8 WR vs the EM5 mk3/GX9 with the 20mm f1.4??

I have come to enjoy the 40mm over the 50mm. I have the 27 2.8 from fuj, however the bohke can be quite nervous and it is sometimes not fast enough. The viltrox is not solving my needs, as it is a beast of a lens. I dream of something in between with the bohke quality from the fuj 18 1.4
This has got to be the first time that Panasonic AF is beating Olympus with a native lens. My ancient EM10 mark 2 matches and may even beat my GX9!
Very interesting. I had it too and I had no problems with AF - also the 12-100f4 worked great and all other lenses from what I'm remembering. It seems Olympus did something on Olympus Em10 iv AF... I get slower AF and lots of missed shots (that should have been easy shots) with all kind of lenses.
Ho Tudor..can you recommend me a m43 camera for street photo? Budget 400/450€.. i m looking gx9, em10 mk4 em1 mk2 or other cameras... thank you!
