Very thankful for you early adopters picking this thing up and sharing impressions and the ownership experience with us. Still want to wait a few more months and listen to more reports on the bike, but I'm very very close to selling my KLX300 and getting one. Probably early next year. Looks a unicorn, indeed!
Yeah I don't blame you waiting, however if it makes you feel better, they have been testing the crap out of this for a couple years. Plus the 3 bikes in the Dakar rally making it all the way really say something! I think when you do pull the trigger, you'll love it way more than your KLX!
I feel the japanese manufacturers have been getting complacent and not giving people what they want.. It took china to give this to us I hope this spurs japan into giving people what they've wanted for decades in order to be competitive. Also, how tall are you? Do you find the height to be intimidating?
You hit the nail on the head there, but it’s not a recent thing, they’ve been complacent for over 20 years in every bike market. I don’t think that’s gonna change in this economic market which is sad because I love me some Honda red! I’m 5’9” and no it wasn’t intimidating. I have a ktm 390 adventure which has a lower seat height, but I can touch the ground easier on the Kove which actually has a higher seat height. That’s due to the thinner seat profile I’m sure. They do have a low version Kove too fyi.
@@LCARSADV Sorry to barrage you with questions, do you think this would be a good first dual sport? I also have a 390 adventure, and its a bit of a pig offroad, and I'm looking for something more offroad focused so I can learn more comfortably. I was gonna get a wr250r but this bike looks cool.
If you wonder why these bikes are so affordable, it's because they were built by youth and slave labor. China doesn't have labor laws like the USA. Sadly lots of people take a blind eye to things like that. The bike itself hits a nice sweet spot that many are looking for, if you can put a plate on it. If they can't get it legalized, it won't sell well. Clarification; It can be plated.
Oh, dry your eyes Jon. The US is squeaky clean, is it? No problems there, no sir, not one. The states definitely don't view money as more important than people, there, no, no,no. If you don't like it, don't buy one. This guy having bought one has zero impact on your life so lighten up and let the guy enjoy his new toy. As my old nan used to say: "If you've nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all."
Do you have any idea what you're talking about? Of course you can put a plate on it, and many already have. Funny, have you been to the factory? I doubt it. Gary has and from my questions to him and his responses you are 100% wrong on the factory. It's people like you and me who love motorcycles building them. Gosh dude, do your dang research before you comment.

It makes a perfect dual sport. The WR is good, but you’ll outgrow it quickly.
Honda! Are you listening?
I know right?
And Suzuki…!

BTW our country under its current leadership jails political prisoners and imports sex slaves and employs under age immigrant youth
Ohh my god... where you live? Did you visit china?
Dude is commenting from his slave built computer or slave built phone. 😂
