Beautifully finished basement. The fireplace comes handy in a cold day. I love to sit by the fireplace and watch TV in my house.
Only a small concern. Your daughters bedroom may not pass fire code. All bedrooms are supposed to have a window. Windows are an escape route as well as letting fresh air in a smoke filled room in a house fire. Yes they happen very often.
Also get your fireplace cleaned annually. Carbon Monoxide build up very common in uncleaned fireplaces. I assume you will have carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide detectors in the unit. It is compulsory in Ontario. Keep warm. Enjoy the beautiful snow.

Electric fireplace does not generate any carbon monoxide. It does not need any annual cleaning!
@@sajanitty Agreed. Still a bedroom needs a window by building code. There is a mechanical room close by with gas furnace. Electrical fireplaces do not need cleaning.
