    Hello - I have been investing in NPS from past few years with Moderate Auto Choice, now if I want to make it active choice with (60-25-15) ratio..Equity-Corp-Govt bonds..so this new percentage will on total money invested till now or only on the current financial year (say investing 50K this year)..pls confirm?

  • @rashimalik2366
    @rashimalik2366 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, when we switch the asset allocation or change the mode altogether from active to auto, what happens under the hood? Do all the fund units get sold and then rebought based on the new allocation? Or only those fund units get sold that are needed to set up the nps fund based on the new allocation? Then does it mean the timing of switching is very important, and you should do the switch if the markets are high especially if you have a high equity exposure when performing the switch. Is this correct?

    • @ETMONEY
      @ETMONEY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi. On the timing bit, we think - timing is the least important for NPS especially if your retirement is 20 or more years away. So when buying a unit now at 10 versus 11 rupees NAV .. only for it to mature 20 years later at 100 rupees does not amount too much as a difference in the overall scheme of things.

    Thanks for the video at the right time. I was looking to open nps account last weekend and it's quite a cumbersome process. Thanks to et money app it looks like it simplified significantly. However I found no step by step guide in opening the account and enabling sip for nps in et money website or et money youtube channel or any other articles or videos from other financial gurus. Though the UI is intuitive I was looking for info like what are all the docs needed to open nps account. I don't have a cheque leaf. Is that okay? Is it possible to create a video for this?

      you just need to have your bank account details handy, your Aadhar card, Aadhar number linked with that account you use while opening your NPS account, PAN as birth date proof, passport as permanent address & ID proof, KYC verification of account completed by your bank.

      If your company follows a CTC structure and if you opt for corporate NPS effectively your taxable salary is reduced. Which indirectly means that you are saving tax on your entire contribution which is over and about 50K Limit.

    I am a central government employee. I do have NPS by default. But I can't map it to our etmoney app. Is there any way to import external NPS data in etmoney app. As there is such provision for analysing external mutual fund investments.

    Sir can you give a clear idea, regarding mode of investment in NPS.. for eg If I want to invest 50000 INR per year, should I invest as lumpsum or will I break it and invest 4000 every month or half yrly or weekly and likewise.
    Also if it lumpsum then should I invest in the beginning of financial year like 1st of April or 1st wk of April just like we do in case of PPF or at the end like in Feb-March or in the middle of year?
    ( I am 35yrs old and from this year I have started to invest in NPS for the first time)...
    It will be great if you can made a video on this topic as well...
    Waiting for your kind reply eagerly...

    • @ETMONEY
      @ETMONEY  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You might want to check out this webpage and then connect with the relevant person in your department. www.npscra.nsdl.co.in/central-government.php
      This line was of special interest:
      As per the Gazette Notification dated January 31, 2019 issued by the Ministry of Finance (Department of Financial Services), the Central Government Subscribers w.e.f. April 1, 2019 have the option of selecting the Pension Funds (PFs) and Investment Pattern in their Tier- I account.
      The Subscriber can choose any one of the available Pension Funds and Investment Option as per their choice.
      If the choice is NOT exercised by the Subscriber, NPS contributions would be invested in the existing default schemes of the 3 Pension Fund Managers (PFMs), viz, LIC Pension Fund Limited, SBI Pension Funds Pvt. Limited and UTI Retirement Solutions Limited in a predefined proportion, as mentioned in the Statement of Transaction (SoT), as per the guidelines issued by PFRDA.
