I made this recipe for our family reunion a couple of weeks ago and they were a huge hit! I got many compliments. I did forget to buy a green pepper so that was the only difference. I'm going to make them again for our church picnic next week! Thanks for sharing your Dads recipe!
Soooooooo delicious!!! This is my Christmas 2020 menu item. Just went in the oven for 2 hours. I can't wait to share with friends and family! Thank you for the new dish added to my menu!
I am baking beans now almost like yours ..i added a sweetner instead of brown sugar because im a diabetic im hoping it wont make a big difference so i got my fingers crossed it will be fine ,im making it for lunch along with chicken vegetable soup ...thank you so much ....Barry
Let me know how the sweetener does. I add fresh jalepenos with the onions and peppers cause my family likes things spicy. So I would love to know how the diabetic one turns out too. Merry Christmas!
Your beans look very similar to mine. I use yellow mustard instead of mustard powder. I'll try your way. I also dice up a jalapeno along with the bell pepper/onion. thx for posting. Eric
I made these a couple of times and sure enough, my kids and my husband asked me where did I get the recipe I showed them your video and all they can say is....please keep the recipe lol (The best recipe to keep) Thanks for sharing:-)
This sounds delicious! Going to make them over the 4th but going to put them in my crockpot as we’ll be at our beach place and I don’t want to use the oven for that long! Gets the trailer way too hot!
How i make bacon bits. I use them, to make the bacon spread out, for other things. i just use 2 plates lay the bacon in the bottom of 1 plate. criss cross 2 layers of bacon. then the 2nd plate to cover them. Place in the micro wave 6 min. Look at them and cooked another 6 min. Then drain off the bacon dripping to save. ( I use a plastic pitcher, when that get full ~ i put the drippings into a big pickle jar. ) let them cool down and chopped the bacon up into bacon bits ~ Reason there so many uses for bacon dripping like in all kinds of boiled greens and things to fry in to for more favor
Let your dad know that my baked beans are very similar, with a couple of exceptions, I use pure ketchup instead of BBQ sauce but I'm going to add 1/2 of it as BBQ sauce this time to see how it tastes, and I have never used apple cider vinegar, I will be adding 1/2 the amount required in his recipie to see how I like it. But tell him to try adding 1/3 c of molasses to his recipe to perfect it.
I'd consider draining (if not all), SOME of the juice from the can, as the finished is still a wee bit running for me. I totally cook a good portion of the bacon & add it @ the end & place on the top for a better presentation & to add another layer of texture ;)
Hope your mother is better these days, just to let you know Dr Mary Newport shared a report on how she gave her husband coconut oil every day and it helped him greatly with that! I would give him 2 - 3 table spoons a day, my father had it as well and it helped him a lot! MCT oil which is derived from coconut oil is supposed to work even better!
Be resourceful , Use things left over! into your bake beans, I had some left over ribs i cut up and put into them. about any kind of pork will work, another good meat is > left over grilled pork chops, that is chopped up into them
Yo usa. Me an buddy from Barbados here in UK were just wondering how we do this an we found you...... I lov the out the oven moment b💯✌️🍜. Respect from uk. Ur dad is a legend 💯✌️
Thank you. My dad is AMAZING! Glad you found our channel. I started with mainly food videos, but viewers were interested in the family, too, so it's morphed into more of a vlog, of sorts. I hope you enjoyed the baked beans.
8 slices bacon, halved 1 medium onion, cut into small dice 1/2 medium green pepper, cut into small dice 3 large cans (28 ounces each) pork and beans 3/4 cup barbecue sauce 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup distilled or cider vinegar 2 teaspoons dry mustard or 2 tablespoons Dijon Fry bacon. Remove, but reserve drippings. Add diced onion and green pepper. Cook until translucent. 2 -3 minutes. Add bbq sauce, brown sugar, cider vinegar and mustard. Simmer for 2 to 3 minutes more. Add beans, continue simmer for about 5 more minutes. Pour into a 9X13 pan. Top with bacon and place in 325º oven for about 2 hours. Until thick like a syrup. Enjoy!
I made these July 4, 2018, they are delicious. The only thing I would add for you to say, is this. I'm one person and I made one large can using bush bake beans. The time for baking cannot be 2 hours. I did 1 and a half. But in the future for one can, I will Bake 1 hour. Thank you for the recipe
I don't think Pork & Beans. Country style or New England Baked Beans is best. You're close enough to "All American Frank, Bacon, Beans" by B&M Baked Beans recipe. Add all beef New York style hot dog, sliced and ketchup. Taste wonderful. 👍
You can use dried beans after the soaking process. I have used pintos before. Add tomato sauce and a bit more brown sugar. Just quicker to let someone else can the beans first. Enjoy.

I don’t have cedar vinegar. Will it make a big difference?
Should work ok just use less. Cider vinegar is sweeter so you don't want it too vinegary
It took a great woman to open him up to the sweet man he is.
Background music would be nice to fill the weird awkward silence.

Would you mind posting the recipe in the drop down? That would be great. I can't wait to try this. And I loved the story about your dad.

3 large cans (28 ounces each) pork and beans
3/4 cup barbecue sauce

Fry bacon. Enjoy!

I am so glad you made it work. They truly are the best baked beans ever! Thanks for letting us know. Enjoy!
Same here. Just made these using the size can recommended. Worst baked beans ever. Cooked for 2 hours. Bacon burnt and beans dry the house.
Try adding ground beef... 🔥
Is dry mustered optional? Looks so good
Yes. I've used dry mustard. About 1 tsp.
I don't think Pork & Beans. Country style or New England Baked Beans is best.
You're close enough to "All American Frank, Bacon, Beans" by B&M Baked Beans recipe.
Add all beef New York style hot dog, sliced and ketchup. Taste wonderful. 👍
Cheese on top in the oven for the last 10mins would be nice
TELL YOUR DAD THAT I SAID “ Y U M “
Nothing like some mushy baked beans that are seasoned just right
I need to make these for my girlfriendand I
Girl Yaaazz!!!

No molasses?? 🤤
A GREAT RECIPE BUT PLEASE BUY A CLIP-ON MIC AS IT'S VERY HARD TO HEAR YOU.
This was one of our first videos. I am trying to improve the quality as we grow. I am glad you enjoyed the Best Baked Beans Ever, though.
can't wait to make them - thanks papa!
my recipe is supposed to be 6 servings but i eat that shit up by myself in one go lmao
Kinda like Christopher Lloyd in movie Dennis the Menace...
Great recipe! Thank you!
Typical another recipe that you can’t print off cheers babe
recipe looks sooo good but I think you need to ask Santa for a new fry pan
Novemberbaby333 I agree.
Very cute woman with an amazing recipe

1 min 29 secs

Not canned pork and beans. All that work to use canned beans. 😂
You can use dried beans after the soaking process. I have used pintos before. Add tomato sauce and a bit more brown sugar. Just quicker to let someone else can the beans first. Enjoy.
You know, it's actually ok to clean the outside of your cookware from time to time. 🤣
Thanks for noticing. I am a great cook, busy mom, hopefully a productive employee, but I am not good at housekeeping. Have a Great Holliday Season.
Yeah I'm not gonna watch this lol the scissors
doctoring up a can of beans from the grocery store is not making homemade baked beans
It’s sounds more realistic than these recipes with canned bake beans that are already seasoned and people just add mor junk!LOL!!
Too long intro -
Mine blow hers away!!!!!
Can you please send me a link to your video. I'll definitely give your recipe a good try too. I love trying new recipes like this. Many Thanks! Rusty
