Sorry for being THAT guy, but both versions are in the same key. They both start in A major. This version ends a half step lower probably due to the comma pump effect (Adam Neely has a good video about it) or simply due to human imprecisions. The audio quality in the remastered version is significantly better
The remastered version is the best audio, but there isn't a time seeing this performed I dont get chills. I dont have the musical background of the other commenters, so to my untrained ears this sounds incredible.
This was the first piece of barbershop I ever heard, in 7th grade, so it’s safe to say I didn’t have an inkling of musical knowledge then 😂 it made me live music and I’ve grown since then, but I’m still fairly clueless to chords, but with everything new I learn, this becomes more and more amazing. So let me tell you, no shame, but this is incredible no matter where you’re coming from! And I mean every single part of it.
@@1106gary they started flat and just drifted slowly downwards throughout the song and ended pretty much a half step flatter than the original. Still amazing and astounding how in tune with each other they are, though.
Am I the only who's glad that this was performed in different key? I mean I really love the remastered version but hearing this feels so refreshing.
The last chord goes from magical to celestial, like legit

@@Auditas not A major
@@alanli2605 Whoops, I just heard the last chord and assumed it was A major. This s C# minor and remastered is D minor
*Got that 432hz going on*
i like how almost everyone starts to smile when they lock in the last chord. absolutely superb!
Tommy R What this video doesn’t get across the acoustic in that hall. Any chord would lock and ring in there. It’s a fantastic space.
And the nods of approval!
the bass in this is always so great no matter what! (also banger hair still)
the left tenor always gives a very enthusiastic performance
Fuck Emmanuel is such an underrated baritone. One of the best of our time.
Exactly
He not just a incredible baritone he’s also an amazing performer
They do an amazing job of this, no doubt astounding, but I gotta say that the real star of the show is Aaron Dale's perfect arrangement!
Yes. Absolutely masterful.
The original premiere is incredible, heard it more times than I can count, but this one brings tears to my eyes at the end.
Love the moment at 6:20 where Martin and Emmanuel smile at each other :)

Even to trained ears this is fucking amazing. Good combination of bass and bariton. :)
I've been singing barbershop for 50 years. AWESOME!
I actually hold my breath for most of this video
I love the reaction of the lads at the back to the tag at the end!!!!
its super quite through the tape and its still obviously the best barbershop quartet out there!
This was so good! What a masterpiece of arranging and executing these complicated harmonies.
This one it was just perfect.
that one remastered doesn't sound so virtuous like this
SÅ HIMLA BRA NI ÄR!!! Kärlek!
Too bad the audio quality is so poor - this is such a wonderful version
Interesting that this ends about a half step lower than the famous *Remastered* version.
とても歌声が素敵で
聞き惚れます‼︎
That overtone at 6:43 though...
Mics couldn’t handle them
nos 7:30 o senhor se desespera com o fôlego do cara e solta o ar por eles kkkkkkkk
What is basses name?
Martin Wahlgren
Thank you helper
Nobody can tell me tht “Daaaaaaaaaammmee” 7:22-7:29 wit Ras and Eman wasnt fire!🔥
im in love with this, but its completely bugging me that all the chords they do are minor chords :')
Except that's not true...
If only you guys sang at A in its original key instead of going flat. Great performance, but that intensity was certainly lost from the original key.
Mathew James cut them some slack man not everyone's perfect
Mathew James it was a really great performance, and they did start half a semitone down anyway, but I know what you mean
You have the A. Dale arrangement? And they didn't do it right?

@@jasonfieler Question Would the fact they are supposed to be singing in an untempered scale have anything to do with the perception of flatness?
