Michigan's Defense should be the equalizing factor for them to have a chance in every game and picking them 4th in their own conference plays into the Michigan vs everyone mindset EXCITED GOBLUE
Worries for TX vs UM: horns' IDL vs UM's Orji & Michigan's 'Python' run-offense. TJ nailed it: Sark will immediately target both Mangum & Hall, play-after-play, in pass-game. To stay in the game, TX has to hope the horns' small, quick WRs, like Bolden, get the ball quickly, stressing the edges of UM's d'. Expect TX d' to struggle vs Orji's power-running.
Texas will get to see the Best Defense in the country with Michigan!! Best they will face all year....Can't wait to see how they stop the Best Defense Line in Mason and Grant getting to QB and RB's. It's going to be a long day for Texas Offense!!! Go Blue!!!
@@BallisticBevo Michigan's Defense will be better than last year, so hopefully Georgia has a better Defense than last year when they lost to Bama. So, I guess that will at least be at least 2 losses. Of course there is other SEC teams you might struggle with as well, since this is your first year in the SEC. Hopefully we can play you again in the playoffs if you make it. Good Luck! Go Blue!!!!
The best two defenses Texas faced last year were Alabama (18th in Total Defense) and Wyoming (48th in TD). How can they begin to prepare for the physicality of the Michigan defense? Btw, I believe our starting defense, or the most used lineup, will look more like a nickel package, much like last year. I believe Zeke Berry and JaDen McBurrows can help ease the loss of Mike Saintristil and the addition of Wesley Walker and JaDen Mangham can do the same for the loss of Rod Moore. Other than that, I actually think the starting edge players and linebackers both could be better than last year as well. Hell, even CB2 should be improved over last year. It's about to get scary for opposing offenses. If I had to choose a starting lineup I'd probably put my money on these guys: Edge - D. Moore DL - Graham DL - Grant Edge - Stewart LB - Hausmann LB - Barham NB - Berry S - Paige S - Walker CB - W. Johnson CB - Hill
Other than ewers, texas lost basically their entire offense. Their defense, especially in the secondsry was their biggest weakness last year. Has their defense significantly improved, and more importantly, can they overcome the losses on offense to score enough against an elite defense? As long as michigan can run the ball well (which i fully expect) and are solid in the passing game, i say no. Currently thinking like 30-24 michigan
What should scare Michigan is you know what the offense is going to do. But what’s Texas defense is going to do? How do you prep for that? Do you stick to the run game? Or should you pass on the new look back field? Good luck. Or and who on offense are you going to try to stop? You stopping the run or the pass?
Michigan’s front seven has too much for an OLine. If you try to double team then the edge rushers will feast. Have to hope the OLine can just win 1 on 1 all game long. Michigan will rotate players all game. Fresh legs against a wore out OLine. Michigan defense can and will keep the team in games. The offense just has to play smart football and not turn the ball over.
Fresno State exposed UM’s defense. They can’t stop the pass. Their secondary sucks. FS put 232 passing yards on UM. Texas has one of the best OL in college football 🏈 and Quinn and beat you with his arm and feet. So just keep telling yourself how amazing UM’s defense is. I’m sure Texas has been preparing for this game all spring. While UM is trying to put together a coaching staff. Has the worse RB coach. Your OL looks like garbage. You have no QB play. You think your going to beat Texas.
The "difference" in the game is Texas defense vs Michigan's offense. Texas will be able to shut-down Michigan's offense and force punts and three-and-outs. Texas lost TWO interior linemen on D. True. But their underclassmen and portal transfers will fill their shoes just fine. Michigan's defense will be worn out in the second half. Texas' offense runs away with the game in the 4th quarter. Texas 42 Michigan 13
You are a complete ignoramus. Our defense will interrupt your backfield. Our corners and LBs will take turns rotating inside the Edge - or off the Edge - as blitzes will terrify the UT QB and bring up the safety(ies) , except Cover 2. UM's OL will beat UT up as the game progresses.
Texas is favored by 3 to 4 pts. And that's away. So really they are a 6 point better team on a neutral field. michigan lost half their coaches. michigan lost a bunch to the draft. michigan has a new QB with little to no experience. Texas has everyone coming back. Ewers will light them up. Looks like Texas might be in for a big big day. 32 to 14. Big loss for michigan.
Texas does not have everyone back lol they only return 4 O-Lineman and a QB every other position has a new starters and most of their backups, 5 out of 11 players on offense are returning.
Michigan's defense, poor fella, will smash through UT's offensive line - just like Washington (the purported Joe Moore winners) when they lost to Michigan by 3+ touchdowns in the Natty. UM won the Joe Moore award the prior two years and came in "2d" last year against the team they crushed in the Natty. JJ and the rest of the starters sat out of the end of the game while the ball sat inside Washington territory - showing class and respect while the game expired. Wait a minute -- didn't you lose to Washington? Your punkas* projection about Michigan's defense is absurd and Ignant...the solidity of our OLs don't change because we develop and reload every year. You'll get it someday - like maybe next year when we play you in your house. Do you know that UM is amidst a 15-0 winning streak? We haven't lost in the Big House in years and are 20-0. Watch your hillbilly mouth.
Predictions this far out are worthless. Michigan is being marketed down because of so much changes both coaching staff and players. But the last two years they have marked Michigan down each year because of the talent Michigan lost. Before the last three seasons Ohio St. has been favored every year and every year Michigan has crushed them. I have no idea how good Michigan will be all I know is the floor is low and the ceiling is very high. Texas is a good measuring stick. But Texas is favored for only one reason they have had less changes. But changes aren’t necessarily bad sometimes they are very good.
Michigan, I agree, will be ready for Texas. Smash!!〽️🏈💛💙
I agree Barham is elite - he is the only linebacker who picked off JJ last year.
Michigan's defense will be more aggressive than years past - DC Wink Martindale.
If Michigan can be persistent in the passing game and be over 60% I think they will win these type of game
Orji over 60% is a pipe dream.
@johnhaut3894 〽️ichigan has built a system to play against high level offensive teams. We have Ohio State and Georgia to thank for that LOL
Stay safe. Play the Anaconda. Passes = interceptions.
