They're both accessible - you get tuned notes, they're not heavy, they have a traditional sound. You'll have to spend time memorizing the ins/outs of the bellows with the notes, you'll have to get used to the note-mapping. Coming from piano, it's taking me a while to learn B/C, but I'd highly recommend it. I tried fiddle as well and the challenges there were more-so about bowing well and getting proper intonation. Each instrument has strengths/weaknesses, play the one that moves and inspires you!
This is a tough one. Irish musicians are often pretty sober-looking while playing, but inside the music is jumping, I promise! lol He’s just inside it.
I enjoy this music as it was my fathers music,he was always happy when playing his accordion and mouth organ and sometimes both at the same time.😊
Lovely swing in that lad's playing, and great tempo and life to it. Just like red wine, you have to let a tune breathe.
Lovely accordion playing and lovely keyboard backing too Best of both worlds
Fabulous musician lovely style & tempo

Is the B/C button accordion an easier instrument to play than the Anglo concertina?

Beautiful reels Con Horan Newbridge Kildare formely Soloheadbeg
Very good
Anyone know the name of the first tune?
It is called "The Cottage in the Grove" and was composed by Tommy Coen who also wrote the Reel "Christmas Eve". Great tune and fantastic playing!
Ah much obliged! Aye savage like, so rhythmic
Anyone have the name of the second tune?
Iniscealtra (Paddy O’Brien)
Great to listen to, but watching the glum expressions (until near the end) detracted a bit.
