I love the way that you do your vignettes! I’ll be sure to give it a try the next time I need to add one. Thank you for the super helpful video this week!
Thanks Austin,I always learn something new or some other way to do something .Now to practice so its second nature.Really excited to try that vignetting thing you do.
Always up for debate BUT: 1. I prefer to do the vignette with a mix of curves with a gradient mask and brushing. Reason is with curves I can lower exactly what I want in the corners. Sometimes I will only lower the shadows as for the foreground that feel that leads the eye in more; 2. I feel the soft light/overlay adds too much contrast to the Orton Effect. Usually I do just like you did (with L1 mask) but with regular blending mode and then I will add adjustment layers just like you to tweak it. Great job on the video! 👌👌
The way I like to do vignettes is to just draw the selection myself and use a blendif layer so I'm only darkening mid tones or highlights and not crushing blacks into oblivion. Can still warp and adjust just like you did but that is my preferred method so I literally can't darken too much as my editing style is dark as it is.
Very good presentation. No comedy, no music just the facts! Love it.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Enjoyed that tutorial, and tried it out on a landscape that has frustrated me for a long time lol. It made a huge difference! Thanks
Great to hear!

I’ll have to give that a try!
You make the mountains taller because they felt taller when you were there? You specialize in phoniness.
You must have never shot with a wide angle lens. When the mountain is in the middle it makes it appear shorter. Look up “wide angle distortion”.
