Thanks for sharing. I just bought this radio and I'm watching everyone's videos on it. I like how you do your presentation. The long antenna is what they recommend for air band, as it's tuned for 120/300 mhz.. they have the same model (td771) that's a tad bit longer for vhf/uhf . They should have gave it a different designation since they're tuned/cut differently.
I measured the SWR on both antennas but after I made the videos. I will have two more videos on this radio coming next week.

Since I use the h3 and h8 as GMRS, I get the 771g which is tuned at 462.
On the youtube channel pu4bla I saw this radio on 27 Mhz how did he do that?

I have a request to make a vedio about si5153 based RF signal generator with Arduino, consists 8khz to 250Mhz,hope you been check it ,thnx....
Thank you so much. Ohhh I will disappoint you on the signal generator. Except these transceivers or measuring equipment that I am presenting on the channel... anything else I am building I want it to be as analog as possible. Is not always possible as sometime I try to keep things small... but I try to stick to analog as I don't like at all the digital technology. I do want to build a signal generator... but I am looking for something more into the old school style 😁. 73, YO6DXE.
@@dxexplorer well,If you could build a RF signal generator like old analog model for radios,it would be fine ,but it should work properly,and bandwidth should be under the MW to FM band ,
I will make one more visit at my friends from rowaves.com this next week and Andrei is refurbishing one as we speak... so I will try to get some inspiration from that one 😁.
Did you purchase this or was it a comp from Tidradio? It looks promising. Have heard of problems with spurious emissions and battery issues though.
Yes I received it from Tidradio. So far I had no issues with this one. Yes they used to have some battery problems in the past on the TD-H8 model and also issues on harmonics suppression, but they are listening to the people and fixed that very quick. I also had some issues with the mic volume and that was also fixed quickly in the firmware. So far I am really happy not just about the radios... but also about how much they are listening to us to improve them or fix an issue. The TD-H3.... ohhhh I LOVE IT hehehe. So tiny and light is always on my backpack now 🤣🤣.

@laszlokovacs8827 Not so much as I didn't had much time to search for frequencies, but I have a local tower from the aerodrome in my village and I like it... especially when the storm comes and they all panic 🤣.
Do you have any issues with the squelch tail on the h3? No matter what settings, have not been able to get rid of it. Hoping that a firmware update will take care of it. I may have an earlier version if your radio has no issue.
@Tsch6373 i didn't do the firmware update yet as I want to make a video on that and the new features added, but that will fix that issue I was told. I don't have issues so far but I've seen around that some people do.
Salut YO6!. As vrea sa stiu care este sensibilitatea de receptie in AM. Vreau sa stiu daca se merita sa-mi iau unul. In momentul de față am 2 Quansheng si un Baofeng uv 18 pro max. As vrea sa stiu daca se merita sa il iau si ee asta. Am auzit xa Jianpai 8800,Radtel uv 490, este mai sensibil decat yaesu. Tidradio cum se descurca in Am? O zi frumoasa.
Salut... nu pot fi super precis pentru ca e primul transceiver cu AM Airband si nu as avea cu ce sa-l compar. Am doar un receptor AM airband de la rowaves.com si doar cu acela pot sa-l compar sa zic asa. Nu stiu... eu personal sunt multumit... dar cred ca o sa fac un clip separat in weekend strict pe receptia AM pentru ca foarte multa lume intreaba. Asa pot da raspunsul cel mai simplu. O sa-l postez asa pe Sambata cel mai probabil. 73, YO6DXE.

Baofeng doesn't have air band, doesn't receive 6 meter, doesn't RX/TX from 136-600, doesn't use usb-c, doesn't program through Bluetooth, has much dirtier emissions... there's more going on than just watts and price

Got the h3 recently and added the h8. Like the features of both of them more so than my large number of Baofengs. Tidradio is easier to work with. I'm using them as GMRS.
@Tsch6373 I liked Baofeng radios too... ( UV-5R saved me when I was sailing and run out of water at some point ), but now that I have these too I also like Tidradio radios a lot more. True... so much easier to work with. Glad you like them too. 73, YO6DXE
