I used to see these guys at a punk club called "The Hungry Brain" in Detroit in the mid 80s. The club was in the basement of a Salvation Army building; absolutely no frills, not the best neighborhood, not around for long enough. Price was $1 per band plus one extra buck. I went most weekends and saw a lot of bands I've forgotten about but these guys stood out. WAY out. I'm glad to find them on youtube - didn't expect to but thought I'd check, and voila. Thanks for posting.
OMG! I can't believe somebody finally put these guys out here. Lord knows you can find just about everything else. I used to play this EP ad nauseam when I was in college radio back in the '80's. Loved it then, and it's still as fresh as it was back in the day. Long live the memory of Gargoyle Sox.

Another great band from my home town. I wish I knew who nabbed my Headless Horseman!

This first EP by GS rivals ANY gothic record of the day. Mainly Red Lorry Yellow Lorry.
Ty Har I would agree accept sisters of mercy tops them at the time.
