The AI will drive until they have like 20% on tires. And they didn't need fuel like you did. Your spotter will also tell you if someone in front of you is pitting. If you can't keep up until they have to pit or a caution comes out, Pit, then stay out when the rest of the field pits. Your pit schedule doesn't have to match them. And yes the wear setting in NASCAR Heat are kinda whack
Your racing 7% races which are less then 36 laps which is what the AI cars fill up on. Before you start the race change your fuel load to 36 laps and up the race % so everyone. Has to pit for fuel after 36 laps.
Trevor I dont remember what you had it set for but as an avid nascar heat player if you put it to 4x with a 13% race they will almost always pit P.S piting is based on fuel 90 percent of the time not the feel or wear of tires unless it's like Atlanta Edit: Also racing with your car like mid way loose is fine just on the first pit stop put 5 to 10 clicks of wedge in just if you want to be faster😉
Yeah you just gotta get used to sliding. The game will tell you when they are gonna pit as well. I also don’t know if this is a time thing for you but longer races typically help. But yeah, I love your stuff keep it going
TmarTn2 is in my opinion a underrated TH-camr he literally pumps contact out for us when a game comes out he pumps out the content until he beats it and he does what the viewers like and doesn’t sticks to one game
you're getting zoomed on the straights because of the gearing, you have to increase the rear end ratio to where it is maxing at the end of the straight. The game has a bad habit of making the AI OP in the straights when you arent in a 5 star car, so you have to mitigate it with setups
Love racing at martinsville! Lots of action and tons of fun. But if your car is tight and won't turn it's a long day lol If you want to force the ai to pit once you have to do a little bit longer race. 4x tire wear and gas consumption with 15 to 20 percent race length should force one stop.
If you go to the Gameplay settings you will find a setting called "Player Tire Grip Falloff". Set that to "More Grip" and the car will be easier to handle on worn tires so you won't have to pit until you need gas.
Trevor, to fix the tire wear and pit strategy for the AI, these are my best settings that work for me: Go to Career Mode Settings, turn Tire Wear / Fuel Consumption to 2x Normal. Player Tire Wear Rate to Normal. Player Tire Grip Falloff to Normal. Tab over to the Driving tab, turn Tire Wear Effect to More Effect. Turn Fuel Consumption to Faster. (Also I suggest the Driving Aids to be on Expert [every assist at 0] because you can get more out of the car. I'm not sure if you already had in expert tho).
If you didnt know you can actually go into the ai section of championship settings to adjust it so ai pit as often as you would by making them be affected more by tire wear
To avoid DNFs turn your damage down from full damage to some damage and up your races to either 13% or 25% and if you want yellows set your flags to strict yellows and set your tire wear to less wear and more grip and there's to more wear less grip. And also it tells you to pit with little indicators at the bottom of the screen with a fuel icon when low on fuel and a tire icon when tire wear is at 20%
Your tires will not blow until they reach at least 5 percent, so you don't need to pit until your tires get to below 15 percent. The car will get loose before that, but being able to manage with a loose car is going to improve your placings and pit strategy
Don't pit until your tires are below 30%. Sometimes you just have to deal with tire wear and less grip to keep track position. Just hold out on putting until you see them pit.
You can turn your tire wear down. Put it to less and keeps there at more for tire wear. It’s kinda what you have to do. And then when you look at your tire percentages look at the amount of fuel left. Because if you have enough fuel don’t put during the race
I have been playing this game since release. I have it set on 25% race length, 4 x tire wear/fuel consumption, expert driver setting (so no assists) and everything else normal for myself and AI. I have had zero issue with the game cycling pit stops like in a normal race with AI. I do stage races because I like the additional (although minor) strategy. I’m not sure why this is so difficult to figure out lol.
The only wear setting that needs to be adjusted is the wear rate. Normal up to x4. The AI will wear the same as you but they always stay out until they NEED to pit for fuel or tires. Your car might get loose before you actually need to pit for tires if you are using too high/loose of a setup. On races this length, you might not even need to pit. It’s worth checking how many laps of fuel you have at the beginning of every race.
On shorter tracks and especially when coming into lapped traffic, you can pass them easier when you downshift. A lot of the exits in the corners in this race could've been taken advantaged of more if you downshifted to 3rd and upshifted to 4th during the straights.
You don’t need to put until one of your tires is almost at 0% (like at 20% or less) or your almost out of fuel (like 2 laps left) then you pit and that’s why no one else is pitting and you can make custom setups (you can find stuff on TH-cam about it) and it will make your car handle better and make it faster
Here is what I have to say about the hole pit stop strategy situation. I don’t know if this is going to help much, but I’ll just say what I think. For me, I think drivers will only pit when they have like really low fuel and they can’t go on for the rest of the race. I feel like starting to lose control because of tires doesn’t matter. I think what matters is weather your tires are at like 28% or something like that, or when you have low fuel that won’t last. And also, I usually do races longer than this and I also include multiple race stages other than just single race stages like you are doing. At that time, I DO know when drivers are going to pit. For example, if see that Stage 2 is going to be 6 laps long and I have 4 laps of fuel, I’m gonna have to pit under that stage caution. And definitely get some fresher tires for more grip, but feel like it is more necessary to pit when your fuel is low. So my only advice is if you ever going to do pit stops, you need to increase the race length and turn on Multiple Race Stages so that you got a better idea of when to pit. Again I don’t know if this is much help, because I have a feeling you are not gonna want to make these races longer and you might want to actually SEE the pit stops. And if you pit under caution you won’t get to see those stops, so again don’t know if this was much help. But other than that, I’m enjoying this series!
This paragraph could’ve been a lot shorter. You only need to pit when your tyres are under 20% and when you have 2 laps left of fuel. That’s really all you had to say my guy.
You have to make sure you allign your tire wear, fuel consumption and grip fall off with the ai there are 2 completely separate sections of the settings, 1 for you and 1 for the ai just run 3x wear and consumption with normal wear, consumption and grip fall off for both u and ai, but no matter what I do make sure it's the same for both u and the ai, also don't pit early, don't pit unless I have the tire or fuel light pop up at bottom because that's when the ai pits and if those lights don't pop up for ai they won't pit unless there's a caution and if u keep running these short races they might not pit at all, I know it takes longer but consider doing 50% races with 3x wear and consumption with strict cautions and multiple stages, I have no issues with this format
@@TmarTn2 that setting applys to everyone, it's the grip levels, and individual tire wear and individual fuel consumption can be further ajusted for both you and ai
Don’t pit when there is a yellow if you have already pitted. Also your burning up your tires faster then everybody else on the shorter tracks pit only when they pit and take positions slowly.
Trev, i did the same thing as u when i was a kid. I would pop nascar in and drive the wrong way just to cause a major accident. Hell even to this very day i still do that from time to time just to have a good laugh. Also u would have to bring your tire wear down 1 or 2 selections while keeping the CPU's wear at the maximum wear for them to be pitting around the same time as you. Its fucked up that they set it up like that. They have probably never been to a race to see how often people usually pit. I gotta give them some credit though because at least some things are close to being accurate.
You are putting top soon. Should allow tires to get to 20-30% then put if you want to be near the same time everyone else's pits. Turn your AI settings to "more wear" and you should be good.
The computer never slides around. They can be seconds behind you then out of nowhere at sonic speeds forcing their way under your car. Usually wrecking me. Totally unrealistic.
They all wait till they absolutely have to pit that’s the thing with nascar holding onto your car till pit stops not putting as soon as your tires feel a bit warm
You didn’t have to pit. I run my tires down 50% on the rights before I even consider pitting. The strategy would be to get a little lighter on the gas and ride it until it breaks 50%
Martinsville...home track of tmartn. Don't feel offended Trev , just joking. Love all of your videos Trev. You are my favourite youtuber.I know I have said this many times, but I just can't stop my comment without writing that you are my favourite.
I have my race length on 13% and for tire wear/fuel consumption on 4x normal and I have ai tire wear effect on more effect and I usually pit when I have 1 or 2 laps of fuel left and the ai pit before me since stretch it that far and try take it easy when my car is sliding around on wear tires
I think the race length is playing a part in why you’re having issues. The ai will push pitting till very late that why they were going so slow mid race.
you need ro do x4 race length and you also need to not pit unless yo have less than 1 lap of fuel left and less than 20% on your tire life left. You should always have the car info up in the left corner while racing instead of showing how many laps are left
That’s the trouble with oval racing, so much of your result is decided by luck, not skill. All racing needs some luck, but ovals, it’s a bigger proportion than skill.
I was waiting for the '''Kyle freaking busch'' line
Trevor, up the race length. You dont need to pit at the the race length you are at right now
Yep longer races bro
@Jeremy Campbell he already turned it up to 4x he just needs to up the length
Each track is different just look at it fuel and tires they won’t pit unless tires and fuel is low
With remaining fuel 5 to 10 laps they will pit or 40-60% tire wear depends on track also
Marco Cambray yes that is true also can depend on your tire ware
The AI will drive until they have like 20% on tires. And they didn't need fuel like you did. Your spotter will also tell you if someone in front of you is pitting. That’s what I do and that’s how I win every time and Kyle Busch #1

You're not supposed to pit until your tires are more worn than you are pitting at. You're supposed to just drive slower on the worn tires.
Yeah you just gotta get used to sliding. The game will tell you when they are gonna pit as well. I also don’t know if this is a time thing for you but longer races typically help. But yeah, I love your stuff keep it going
I think that's the issue! 7% races are too short for pit stops :)
I’ve been waiting all day for this
Me too!!!
Are you gae?
We should set a like goal so we can get a double upload 🙈😭😭
Haha.
trev tuning your car for the tracks will make it faster than the recommended tight/loose setups
TmarTn2 is in my opinion a underrated TH-camr he literally pumps contact out for us when a game comes out he pumps out the content until he beats it and he does what the viewers like and doesn’t sticks to one game
Instinctively I looked to see how long the vid was 😂
This one is a full race lol
TmarTn2 I was going to cry if it wasent 😂
Lmao
13:09 everyone that played nascar in the ps2 days had to of went to the wrong and wrecked the whole field.
Literally just binged this whole series last night and have been waiting on this video all day !!!

Even if your car is getting loose you do not need to go in you just need to adapt and stay smooth
I used to be able to hear the races from my house and one of the best experiences I’ve been able to go to as a kid
Love this series!
You need to make Tyre wear and fuel consumption x4 to make sure you have to pit every race otherwise some of the shorter races you don’t need to pit
Keep em coming.. 1:19am.... In Kenya
Love racing at martinsville! Lots of action and tons of fun. But if your car is tight and won't turn it's a long day lol

You can use the gutter by putting your 2 left wheels. It is called Gutter Run that Takumi Fujiwara used in Initial D.
Lmaooo. Trevor’s ‘Yassss Queennnn’ who knew he had some white girl in him? I loved it
13% race with 3x fuel/ tire wear works well. Longer races with stages makes it interesting as well
THAT NASCAR ACCENT LOL
welcome to mawtins-vielll

I thought Bristol was the smallest too.
Bro Trev is killing it with this series! Let's keep it going please!
trev if you pitted already on yellow hit b and dont pit youd been in first
also you have to turn the ai tire wear on more than yours so they pit
also I play the game cause of you and love it so thanks and turn flags to black so there isnt any free pits
Love the series!! Keep it going

Awesome series and Trev you should get a better team!
The reason they dont need to pit is because they are are on the line the way you drive its a litle more aggresive which means your rubber burns faster
“Yasss Queen lesssss goooooooo”
Exited to see more small tracks. Keep Up The Great Work Trevor and Stay Safe
Carter jones that is why I hate autocorrect
This is definitely top 10 series’s I’m loving it
This track has a dramatic difference compared to the other tracks! Only going 60 on the turns 😂
Thanks for the history Trev,
I thought Bristol was the shortest track too..
Living in Martinsville this track me so much to me because I go every year
Don’t pit when there is a yellow if you have already pitted. Also your burning up your tires faster then everybody else on the shorter tracks pit only when they pit and take positions slowly.
Makes me want to play this. Thanks bro. Keep it coming

Just a tip don’t pit just for tires in nascar u just want to put if u need fuel or if everybody else is
Yea every time I pit it always seems to have a caution as soon as I come out of the pits or the caution will happen 2 laps after I come out the pits

I like how Trev complains about not being able to pass the other drivers. Cause they have fresh new tires while he's passing them.
You are so good at playing games and their controls
AI won’t pit unless their tires are all the way down or they are out of gas. I recommend making the race is 25% so you have to pit to get
Finally I have been waiting for this
I've been wondering, can you spend money on stuff for car upgrades or anything?

Nice dude nice please keep up the good work dude
Maybe try strict yellows more cautions could help the putting issues?
Keep these coming!
Ah yes the paperclip
Make your race length longer and they’ll have to pit. As of right now they don’t need gas, and the AI can drive on low treaded tires.
