The 2023 TCR Advanced Disc 1+ is the same bike, but with Shimano 105 Di2. Big savings. I got one and it came with the SLR 1 wheels. I am running Schwalbe 30mm tubeless tires on them.

Yep I think that's the bike most people will go for. Good news on the new rims being slightly wider on the inner width too meaning no tyre bulge with larger tyres.

Nice video mate. I’ve had mine in ML for about a month now. It’s a cracking bike to ride and I think the black tyres are the way to go. Keen to hear how your schwalbe change-up goes because I’ve found the cadex really capable.

Great colour. Bike is awesome, you will be happy. The Pro Ones will be very good upgrade, do not go with tan walls, black is better on this bike.
Make sure you put protective tape to the chain stays, seatstays and seat tube, the matt black gets scratched awfully easy. In fact put protective tape everywhere :):)

@@damien4019 Looks like 'Damiens' have similar taste in bikes. The brakes have a dry scrape sound after heavy breaking, not during breaking.
      Its a minor thing.
I also still have a creaking seatpost. Its a common thing with Giant carbon seat posts
Apart from that, its a joy to ride. Gear shifting is smooth as silk, and fast.

Ive been running cadex, was going downhill on country lane about 30mph and front punctured rapidly at bead, tyres written off after 134miles. Lbs ordered schwalbe ones for me yesterday read online very tight and someone had to cut them off, not sure how accurate that is but love the bike apart from that. We got same bike.

I’m enjoying the bike so far th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA My only real complaints are the brakes and the pedals. I feel like a bike designed for bigger people should have much larger pedals and more heavy duty brakes. I’ve only gotten two really good rides out of it, minimal downhill action, and the brakes feel like they’re already going out. A larger person has more momentum, so I think this wasn’t thought through very well. Also, I wear size 13-14 wide shoes. My feet cramp up on these pedals that are clearly made for smaller feet. Since I’m not a pro rider (and I don’t think many are who purchase this bike) I don’t think that the straps on the pedal are necessary at all. None of this takes away from the enjoyment I get from riding, however. I’ll just head to a bike shop to improve on a few things.

    • @damien4019
      @damien4019  2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

It’s funny you say that as that was one of my top priorities at first (because my previous bike had all cables running externally). I originally ordered an Orbea Orca OMX which seemed to have everything I wanted including custom paint, but then I couldn’t get one in 2021 and by 2022 the prices had increased to £6,599. That’s £1,599 more than the TCR for a heavier bike with integrated cables. Ultimately I ended up deciding I could live with two hoses at the front as the value for money outweighed all other options. It’s a pricey bike to begin with so small sacrifices here and there! Thanks for watching

      1. Carbon handlebar instead of the power metre

When you adjust saddle tilt, how do you tighten or loose the “front” knob(or screw) if you use non cut-out saddle?
It seems like allen key cant reach in there if you don’t use cut-out saddle.
Do you just use thumb to tighten it?
Did only using thumb give enough leverage/force ?
Is it possible to tight it enough, if you want a nose-down (tilt) saddle position?
I use about 4 degree down. Would that be possible?
