Cog Hill Family Farm that's an awesome homestead box! Our figs froze this past winter so we won't get any until next year. :( We did get some small figs last year and they were delicious!

Just started watching ya all. Come across ya all's channel 2 weeks ago while watching Adler and grandpa of Adler farms, Farm Fam Walkers, Kepping it Dutch, ect.
I love Peaches the pig. I never saw a more spoiled pig, lol. She got her own bed. Funniest thing I ever saw. 🤣
I'm binge watching all your videos. I'm loving you guys and all your doing.
Oh ya, figs are one of my favorites too. Cherries is my favorite fruit.

This is the good old fashioned Southern way of making fig preserves!! This was great! My husband even loved watching it, cause fig preserves are his favorite. Thanks for being safe and showing the water bath canning. So important! Some folks on TH-cam just pour up hot preserves or tomatoes into a jar, seal and put on the counter. That water bath canning prevents botulism. Thanks again!!

That process is wonderful. Tomorrow I have to make Cosmo pickles no hot bread n butter. Making biker pickles that are cucumbers in habanero bread n butter. I do like that popping sound

My granny also made “strawberry figs.” She’d add a box of strawberry jello (sprinkled over top of each gallon of figs) canning just like the plain ones. They were “the bomb.”

Awesome job on those figs! My canner has been running overtime this summer and I'll fire it up again this weekend. Didn't take Mrs. CH long to snag that cool apron! The Homestead Boxes are great! Lot of Hoss stuff featured. Don't you love that Hoss Over the Shoulder Harvest Bucket? Holds a ton and practically indestructible. (mine is 3 yrs old and I haven't hurt it yet, and that says a LOT!). Can't go wrong with Hoss Tools!

Now this is one fruit I’ve never eaten fresh. I really need to give it a try. Close as I ever come was a Fig Newton cookie as a kid. Hahahaha My Granny, Bless her heart, would eat them by the pack full! She loved them cookies. What does the fruit taste like? I KNOW it’s better than them cookies. (My Granny may not have agreed, God rest her sweet soul.) She’ll forgive me though. I know them preserves look AWESOME! And how timely was that Homestead box? That was sure perfect! Those Roo’s are awesome! Especially if you have a disability like me. Super handy! TFS Love, hugs and blessings ~Lisa

I tried a fig tree here in salt lake, it burned up, or froze, or dried.. I have lots of apples, pears, peaches, apricot, getting some pluot and aprium, I also have hops and grapes. Why is it you always want to grow what you can’t grow in your area? When I first moved here, I planted a fern, and that poor thing looked like you took a blowtorch to it! I’m just now starting walnuts, (few are two yrs old, got four walnuts, those are in the fridge, I’m going to sprout them..!) and getting a couple hickory seedlings..

I used frozen figs and made strawberry fig preserves, plain fig preserves and whole fig preserves last night then 4 bags of 5 cup red plum and 2 bags of yellow plum juice and 8 half pint jars of plum butter. All last night as I was lamenting not being able to go to the Okie Expo.
      Y’all have fun!
I have changed my pic and am posting(when I learn how) under Gotcha covered Upholstery. 😀
