They've forgotten more music than you or anyone else here in the comments section knows.

fun fact: the drummer (larnell lewis) was simply a sub for this recording, and he managed to learn the entire album (3 separate recording sessions) in 2 days before commuting to the studio
If you wanna know how good this band is, try to locate any sheet music. Anywhere. They are all playing it by feel and talent throughout. Real to the bone jazz, they move from theme to theme seamlessly through an ever increasing tempo and funky time signatures. Drummer was a replacement that night too, they had like no time for rehearsal before the show together, MVP for sure. Cory Henry is a damn prodigy.
I’m pretty sure that many of you who commented didn’t watch the entire video. I’ll be honest, I thought these guys were going to hate on SP. I have NEVER SEEN this channel, and have no reason to stick up for them, but if you watch 13:50 on, you can see that they were very complimentary and thoroughly enjoyed the video. I applaud their open mindedness! I am a huge Snarky Puppy fan, and am happy to see these guys were introduced to them. Thanks for the video, fellas! As I am sure you are now aware, these are ALL some of the highest caliber musicians in the business right now. I hope you check out some other stuff.
The bass player, Michael League is the Band leader, contributes heavily to all the writing they do, absolute musical genius.
