@halimzoer and if you look at it from a strategic point of view you will see that they waited until a rather good moment to join in. They send their fleet to the Soviet Beachhead, they waited until the area was secure, they turned back around after the Red Army was pushed back out of Seattle.
Well, yeah, but they are defending their home, but yeah, its of no use in this days but looks cool. XD I can only imagine the situation Commander: Hey you, take the basooka, you and you go with the assault rifles and you cover us with the sniper Matt: And what should i do? Commander: You just take the flag and run towards the enemy like a crasy guy, it will give more moral to our troups :p
I agree, world in conflict is a better storyline. The only thing is the logistical part. It took the allies 4 years to train and build up enough troops, equipment, and supplies to invade Normandy, and that was only across the English channel. This is a sneak attack across the world's largest ocean.
i have a question : in demo heavy artillery send many rockets in full version send smoke only plz comment (im not noob...it is the only thing i cant understand) thx
I love how it's World in Conflict even though all i've heard of the game is that it's just America being attacked. I still really want to check it out though.
Nk is Noord Korea right? i heard they have their missles aiming for Hawaii!! and america is placing missles on Hawaii. i am not sure but it was on a news site i only forgot the name of the site... well let's hope that THAT isn't true!!!
I'm American and I can tell you that if it had happened, this would probably be the way it would have happened. That or a huge troop surge through Alaska, but that puts Canada in the way. Whether it would be wise to open up a second front, just to keep the US out of aiding NATO...that is the question.
Think about it. If you were a soldier there what would raise your moral more? The flag attached to a Humvee or seeing one of your fellow soldiers going forward with it? It might not be a logical choice to charge into battle with a flag. But if I saw that in battle, I would honestly follow and grab the flag if he fell.
waaahahhahaa XD you are right mate!! XD good one i love all the scenes of WiC especially this one :P i mean.... HOW MUCH epic battles for a Burger Kning are there? not much :P
Im just one of those people who gets catchy music stuck in my head, and the music after the amphibious tanks board the harbor, that music was catchy, and when the americans were running forward and the guy had the flag, that music was catchy music too, to me anyways.
That game owns i think im going to get it, it was named the best online multiplayer game of 2007 and the best strategy game of 2007 IGN, Gamespot and Gamespy
Note that Germany invaded Poland in September 1939. Japan declares war on and attacks America in December 1941. Germany also consequently declares war on America in the same month. Both are unprovoked. As you can see, America maintained neutrality for 2 years and 4 months after the war started. Then war was declared on them and attacks against their homeland made - provoking them into joining the war.
Thats because the british empire didn't fall it slowly shrinked and pulled back. Plus there were other Empires in the world too the Spanish, Russian, American, Japanese and Chinese. I am talking about when a empire that is really the only power in the world falls suddenly and abruptly.
I like how the American counter-attack includes capturing a Burger King. Anybody else find the standard-bearer in the Burger King attack to be a little...I don't know...strange? It's one of those things that was lost back in the olden days.
The use of civilian camoflaged ships and aircraft is not out of the question. Read Red Storm Rising. They used a large cargo ship to invade Iceland. In the 70's they used civilian chartered planes to both land and paradrop Spetznaz into Kabul airport in Afghanistan.
Seems like a cool idea. I think the idea of america being so easily invaded is awesome (whether it's possible or not) because most games are about american supremacy. I think people need to remember that this is a game, not a real life scenario and keep that in mind before squabbling about power and domination. Go Russia, go america, go World in Conflict.
I play online and when I talk into my headset and I get a red VOIP icon in the left hand corner when everyone else is white. Does that mean that mine is not working or is that just to stand out that its me>
As for Vietnam - USA lost approximately 60,000 soldiers. NLF lost 1,100,000. For all of the South Vietnamese/American allied troops; 314,000 were dead or missing. If you're going by the numbers, the NFL easily lost the war. But the numbers aren't what determine victory or loss anyway.
I own both games so your getting a fair answer. Company of Heroes is better over all in my opinion but this game is also very fun and is good for people who don't like having to build up a base. It also depend on your graphics card if you have lower power one I would get CoH. My final opinion: get CoH then this
I think you vastly over-estimate Eruopes stability especially if it was in a depression. I agree however that it put it the wrong way. I didn't mean the world would plunge into rabid famine, disease, drought, and senseless holy crusades. What i merely meant was that the world as I see it would be 10 times less safe and unstable. I think the world would look more like 1933 or 1918 only worse. Empires clashing over limited resources.
actually you couldn't be more wrong. the game is meant to have a what-if factor; an alternate ending where instead of berlin wall demolished and communism destroyed, they launch an attack on western europe and america
To milward89. The roman empire was the dominant force in ancient times and is pretty comparable to the US's position in the world at the moment. When the roman empire fell the world was plunged into a dark age of limited learning, war, famine disease, and tyrants for about 700 to 900 years. Don't think it will be any different if and when the US falls.
In 1989 for the west, the USSR were evil, and in the USSR in 1989 the west countries were evil either. The game had a context too, think in 4 dimensions, the fourth dimension are the time and that time isn't today... And finally, it's just a game!!
When it happened isn't the point, the bogus plot was the point and how impossible that situation was. And they seem to be doing it over again which is a bad idea.
This recession is worse than any in our history or at least it will be before its over but its not the great depression or even near it at the current look of things. I doubt we have to worry about collapse
well, i got it to work but i had to go to the store and get a new cd, there was something wrong with the one i had. so now i have started playing, the game is soo cool!!
@halimzoer no. They needed the beachhead because they have next to nothing for an amphibious assault. And you forget that in the game the war is still raging in Europe and China did just enter and the US has next to nothing in the Pacific to stop them. And if this war were real I would be on the front lines. Not something I would enjoy.
its sick! the game grafic is...superb! but look at PS1 and then PS3/xbox or whatewer....like this trailer at some points it look like its real...lol...heh
Defense of the coast: Two random cops
Defense of a Burger King restaurant: An entire batallion
Ramirez! Defend Burger Town! Wait, wrong game...
HAHHAHAHAHA I LITERALLY LOLLED
i love the way they go into battle with the American flag at 1:16
>communists taking Seattle
Who else is rewatching it in 2020 after the whole CHAZ events stuff?
>Fast food restaurants being destroyed in the fighting
This game was prophetic.
@halimzoer and if you look at it from a strategic point of view you will see that they waited until a rather good moment to join in. They send their fleet to the Soviet Beachhead, they waited until the area was secure, they turned back around after the Red Army was pushed back out of Seattle.
AHAHAHA
the battle of burger king XD
Such a shame this game is no longer supported or even viewable on steam. All time favorite for me right here
Well, yeah, but they are defending their home, but yeah, its of no use in this days but looks cool. XD
I can only imagine the situation
Commander: Hey you, take the basooka, you and you go with the assault rifles and you cover us with the sniper
Matt: And what should i do?
Commander: You just take the flag and run towards the enemy like a crasy guy, it will give more moral to our troups
:p
there's another game called Soviet Assualt where u can play against the US, not sure if the storyline's different though
I agree, world in conflict is a better storyline. The only thing is the logistical part. It took the allies 4 years to train and build up enough troops, equipment, and supplies to invade Normandy, and that was only across the English channel. This is a sneak attack across the world's largest ocean.

I love how it's World in Conflict even though all i've heard of the game is that it's just America being attacked. I still really want to check it out though.
@M4teusz112 it's part of the soundtrack from the game... not commercial music. I don't think it has an actual name.
I agree, awesome storyline, not many companies exploit the cold war like massive have, its good to see a game that isn't sci fi rts or wwII rts.
Nk is Noord Korea right? i heard they have their missles aiming for Hawaii!! and america is placing missles on Hawaii. i am not sure but it was on a news site i only forgot the name of the site... well let's hope that THAT isn't true!!!
would be cool if they turned it into a film :)
I'm American and I can tell you that if it had happened, this would probably be the way it would have happened. That or a huge troop surge through Alaska, but that puts Canada in the way. Whether it would be wise to open up a second front, just to keep the US out of aiding NATO...that is the question.
Całkiem niezłym pomysłem byłoby nakręcenie filmu na podstawie tej gry. Wojenna apokalipsa schyłku XX w. całkiem chwytliwe...
this game has so many great trailers its amazing!
w0w,,Thats my burger KING
Think about it. If you were a soldier there what would raise your moral more? The flag attached to a Humvee or seeing one of your fellow soldiers going forward with it? It might not be a logical choice to charge into battle with a flag. But if I saw that in battle, I would honestly follow and grab the flag if he fell.

DEFEND THE BURGUER KING
Im just one of those people who gets catchy music stuck in my head, and the music after the amphibious tanks board the harbor, that music was catchy, and when the americans were running forward and the guy had the flag, that music was catchy music too, to me anyways.

This premises will be awesome alternative history Netflix show
Is This 1st Person Or Strategy?
i just love when the apc runs over ther car lol
Feedom Fighters took place in an alternate timeline where changes occured during World War Two, so don't compare it to this.
i tried that, i lowered them a lot, still no luck. think it's the disc?
Someone knows what is the name of the music from 0:38 to 1:32 ? :)
I never noticed Burger King until now and that's just hilarious. War for Burger King.
One whopper please? *Hears gunfire* DAMN!
You could attach it to your weapon but it I think it would mean more to a soldier if they saw someone carrying it into battle.
Are you from China?
nice point! very true, but it would have cost a hell of a lot more lives and would have gone on for a lot longer.
Hinds! Those things are tough!!!
Anyone know where I can download this trailer?
The use of civilian camoflaged ships and aircraft is not out of the question. Read Red Storm Rising. They used a large cargo ship to invade Iceland. In the 70's they used civilian chartered planes to both land and paradrop Spetznaz into Kabul airport in Afghanistan.
hmm they looks like combining red alert story with cnc generals or act of war?
Well, have you played the game?
wow looks really good
@Babalabagis yup england france germany japan
spain mexico denmark
looks like a great storyline they should make an fps version and set it in the present day
Seems like a cool idea. I think the idea of america being so easily invaded is awesome (whether it's possible or not) because most games are about american supremacy. Modern warfare calls on the ability to maneuver through narrow streets, and being able to avoid road side bombs and snipers.
That Shilka is epic XD
Iceland?
But u r true about the marines on the ch-53 On the ny scene, but in this clip there's Bradly fight vehicles which is Army.
hahahah ya for the BBdoubles and the stunner
So I guess the trailers was covering the Battle of Burger King then
I play online and when I talk into my headset and I get a red VOIP icon in the left hand corner when everyone else is white. Does that mean that mine is not working or is that just to stand out that its me>

why not, I'm in the National Guard, and most of the personel in Iraq now is Reserves and Guard.
I have this game it takes place in the 80's
Same for the Soviets...who the hell fortifies a Burger King as a tactical location? Furthermore, who deems it necessary to capture?
Best trailer :)
The King comes out of nowhere and starts taking out Russians.
gigidy gigidy gooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
well actually its generalized as a RTS but its really a RTT
Those Burger King employees are vicious...
now that looks intense
I own both games so your getting a fair answer.

they obviously haven't seen the latest Carl's Junior commercial...

Aghaughaghghghghahagugh. Seeing this trailer, I just wanna join the military.

Thats is a awesome game i would recommend to buy it and beside to play in multi- playermodus thats very funny 5points
Wish the game actually looked like this.
Right, you could just as well tie the flag to a Humvee. That way, at least your flag-bearer is doing some shooting too.
hey, my computer keeps freezing everytime i play this game and i've tried lowering the resolution, what should i do?
and BTW, dont ask mummy and daddy for this game, its beyond your age restriction.
you don't need the CD for playing online after you installed the game...
In 1989 for the west, the USSR were evil, and in the USSR in 1989 the west countries were evil either. The game had a context too, think in 4 dimensions, the fourth dimension are the time and that time isn't today... And finally, it's just a game!!
ProtoOmegaXenosaga you the Serb? Russian you understand?
Not the matter of will, but when.
I gotch it is awesomeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!1
Nice! I'll davinally buy that game
Modern warfare calls on who can press the "drop a nuke" button the fastest =P
When it happened isn't the point, the bogus plot was the point and how impossible that situation was. And they seem to be doing it over again which is a bad idea.
I am wondering does Russia make games about US invading them too? =P
'Osvobotide Nebesa!'. That was really funny, couldn't they just get someone who knows Russian?
This recession is worse than any in our history or at least it will be before its over but its not the great depression or even near it at the current look of things. I doubt we have to worry about collapse
