You can remove the inserts that hold silverware, it won't look great on the inside but the interior cloth is tarnish resistant. This makes it a great jewelry box, it keeps your silver jewelry tarnish-free and does no harm to other jewelry. A win-win.

Julie, what a great idea to make over a silverware case . You are so smart to redo it and use it for something else. You could put a little note card in it with all your friends an families birthdays and anniversary dates with your address stickers. And don't forget stamps too. You could also put seasonal jewelry or keep it as a keepsake box for important remembrance cards and items. You are so creative! Loved the color you chose too. Next time I see one of these, I will get my lil' wheels a turning and copy your idea or use it for something else. Enjoy thrifting! A Nana from Texas 🇨🇱

Your Silverware Box is so pretty ! Mine are the bigger typical style silverware box and I use mine to store my crafting stamps and craft paper in . Mine came from an Auction in those boxes that you SEE ONE ITEM you want , but get stuck with all the other stuff too! Sometimes there are treasures hidden in them and sometime yikes ! LOL!!

Hi Julie! I couldn't make heads or tails out of those wooden frames myself. As for the silverware box, my wheels were turning like crazy too. I do a lot of painting and that would be great for my brushes, my palettes (after I clean them) and some of my sketch pads. That little hutch music box would've gone home with me in a second. Thanks for another fun video, Julie! I believe that the wooden frame thing that you were wondering about early in the video is for the older tennis rackets. The frame was used when the racket wasn't in use to keep the racket aligned. You can see them in old movies where there are country clubs or tennis courts. My husband had a couple of them when we were married back in the 70s. Now the rackets are made of metal and don't require that support.

I know how much you love Wexford pieces. You have me looking for them. I found a Wexford cake plate with domed lid at my Goodwill and did not pick it up. Went back the next day and, of course, a woman in front of me picked it up. She did not put it in her buggy but had it sitting on the floor. I asked her if she was going to buy it and I thought she was going to call 911. I did score 2 Wexford tea glasses. Your thrifting buddy is precious. He reminds me of my son when he was small.

Thank you for showing your project with the silverware box. I have found several nice ones while thrifting but did not know what I would do with them. I can see now that they can be redone to be more than a silverware holder.

I love the silverware box you flipped. I love the color and I would use it to keep papers off the kitchen counter that I want to keep, but out of sight. Tfs!

I wish I could find a silverware box like that. The only ones I found recently they were wanting $25+ on up. I love that you took this one home. I never find pie plates in my area. I think people in OKC know their worth.

I would’ve picked up that fancy pie pan which is a tart dish . I also make memory boxes out of old silverware boxes. I would’ve taken all of that red felt out of the bottom and decomposed it. I usually give them away for Christmas or birthday gifts. It gives someone a place to put photographs , letters and also memory trinkets in it . That’s a good idea to make it into a stationary box also. Great video I really enjoyed it.

I really liked the wooden tea holder. It would have been cute painted and the word TEA stenciled on. Would look good on a coffee bar. Your videos are fun. 😊

I saw the cake stand you picked up , but I use the not so pretty.ones for stands for my live plants that I put behind my tub where we have a window.. it lifts them high enough to get light. I have a collection of vintage ones that I decorate with in my dining room. When my mom passed ,she had a beautiful vintage milk glass one. That is what got me started. Now I have too many.🥹

I didn't read the comments before a wrote. If u wanted to change the color inside the box they have cloth paint I've never used it but it would be a project. Love the pitcher u got.
