Saying that there are only 3 main Black areas in Paris is very misleading, what we call Paris is actually just Central Paris. Greater Paris includes several districts and that's where most black people live.Chateau rouge , Chateau d'Eau & Chatelet are just areas where black people congregate & do shopping , most black people live in the suburbs of Paris along with North African Arabs & other parts of the 18th ,19th 20th boroughs

You know what, I have not seen many TH-cam travelers film around that part of Paris. I am glad you went to the first part, I can understand why some do not want to be filmed/interviewed, the politics of being can be rough in some European countries.
It's not just politics, in France we have a law of "Droit à l'image". It's seen as non respectuous to film people without their authorisation. So let's says you were filming someone, we clearly see their face and they didn't knew it or gave their consent to it, you can be sued and they will win the case no matter what you say unless there is a loophole, saying that you were filming in public doesn't have a lot of weight. This is something we learn really early as a kid, and everytime there is a video/photo taken to an events, etc, people or parents for minors have to sign if they want the face to be released to the public or not. Even in interviews, if someone says they don't want their faces to appears online, you are obliged to blur their face.
The only places or people are mostly open to picture/filming are tiktokers/youtubers/streamers area, and they are mostly in big cities, trying this in a random city in the north won't get you good things.

I moved to Paris in 1994 and worked playing music. First regular gig was in the oldest American restaurant in Paris. It was started by Leroy Haynes who had been an Army M.P. there during WW ll. Haynes returned from Louisiana and opened the "soul food" style place. After his death his wife Maria ran it until the early 2000's. All of the 30's 40' & 50's jazz artists would stop by when they toured France and their autographed headshots were still covering the walls. Paris has been a haven for Black Americans since the days of Jack Johnson and Josephine Baker.
@sylviagordon2183 That was my first steady gig over there. The pay wasn't good but we made up for it in fried chicken and dessert. When were you there?
Toronto Canada was once considered to be litter free .There are garbage and recycle bins at each bus stop yet some residents choose to dump the litter from coffee shops and fast food restaurants any and everywhere. It has nothing to do with any ethnic or poor communities . Litter is thrown from vehicles also . It's absolutely shameful that we no longer care for cleanliness and the beauty of our streets and neighborhoods.
In Louisiana we Louisiana Creoles (ancestry combine of French..African... Portuguese/Spanish and Native American) we speak what we call Louisiana Creole Patios ( broken languages of ancestors put together...) Laissez les bon temp rouler...Oui, cher💜💛💚⚜️⚜️⚜️⚜️
I am a person of African descent my question why when we populate an area it has to become dirty ,look at the litter on the street where is our civic pride? I’m just disappointed in us ,even in my community as I clean up they seem to look down on me because I’m picking up the trash, my brothers and sisters this should not be!!!! we are people of beauty

Very interesting a lot of black Americans migrated their during jim crow era. France definitely has something different going on then the rest of Europe. A lot of Black influence in French culture too nice video Ace
All over Western Europe you have countries that have migrants from former colonies living there for a few generations already. Almost every western european country colonised around the world so that makes sense. And on top of that theres recent refugees that come from countries that are destroyed by all kinds of wars and that wont stop anytime soon. France indeed has the highest percentage of black people living there but also North Africans who were also colonised by the French like the Morrocans and Algerians.
This Anthony again i left out a few details about my cousin that he is a black American from Louisiana with amazing story opening his business for 20 years and he lived there for 40 years.
The reason why Hip Hop (dance) is strong in France is because of the many black people living here. To me France is the European country that resembles the US the most.
@@ilanakidiadia3181 "we don't have gunshot in France"? Uuuuh... Maybe where you live bro, I can't say the same. "Not everything about race". Well not to the same extent as the US, but that's relative. Et oui, ça n'est pas de ça qu'il parlait.
Ace, the French colonize many countries in Africa. French West Africa was a federation of eight French colonial territories in Africa: Mauritania, Senegal, French Sudan (now Mali), French Guinea (now Guinea), Côte d'Ivoire, Upper Volta (now Burkina Faso), Dahomey (now Benin), and Niger. So many Africans immigrated to France.
Fantastic video, Ace, keep it coming. If you plan on going to the UK, check out Brixton, and Peckham, two cities with a large African and Caribbean population.

This was a wonderful interview, the two ladies, I truly understand, the very same situation, speaking only NY English, my father spoke French & Creole, my mother Portuguese , Creole, English, we as their children spoke only English… as you living in France, will speak mostly French. Very interesting to hear, learn , much is very similar, it is easy to lose your original roots. Thank you, Ace, a great experience! 👩🏽🦳👏🏽✨
Ace likes “boom boom”. Qué charlatán. Jejeje 😆😆 The interviews really humanize things and make you feel something other than the typical gratification a lot of people come for. Incidentally, the gentleman who mentioned that it’s all about communication/trying to get through to others/understanding one another is obviously correct. Will you be staying for the Olympics and through them? Would be cool if we witnessed an event through your eyes. @sylviagordon2183 That was my first steady gig over there. The pay wasn't good but we made up for it in fried chicken and dessert. When were you there?
I am a Black African who grew up in Paris, thanks for highlighting this side of Paris
I’m just disappointed in us ,even in my community as I clean up they seem to look down on me because I’m picking up the trash, my brothers and sisters this should not be!!!! we are people of beauty
lol you have to stop stygmatizing it was at the market some a street market run by blsncs there is unfortunately waste stop throwing stones at your community
That is exactly my question, too as I'm watching the video. Why must it be So? Why why why why????
Thank you it's the same thing that came to my mind.
If the city of Paris doesn't want to clean their streets then that's on the city's officials not the citizens.
@@Itsoktoloveyourself I see you're one of them type!
So glad I took the time to watch the whole video. Ace showed great interview skills in getting the last 2 ladies to open up more as the interview progressed. All involved were cool and fascinating people.
@38, 😂😂😂, she said her father is from Mayotte, and ACE said, oh, your father is a mayor!
OK interesting

The best video Ace keep it up .I enjoyed watching beautiful Africans ❤❤❤much love
Hello, this is my first time watching you, I’m happy you popped up… this video was very, very educational actually… I always wondered where all the Black people were anytime I would watch Paris fashion week videos lol… Thank you for giving us an insight ❤❤❤
Dont forget there is the french overseas territories france is multicultural there are many Caribbean residents from martinique, Guadeloupe, french guinana,St lucia, dominica, Haiti who reside in france
And FR has more overseas terrorities than any other country, so you can be a French national and never been to France.

One needs to read Fanon's perspective of the way France and other imperialistic European countries affected their colonies and how they evolved.
And then what ? This is history. Time to see the reality. Things have changed. And people mixe a lot in France.
@@lmaitland1108 bullshit, Fanon was a bad guy
Let me say I have never been to Paris however if the news reports are true blacks are not treated well. I live in Canada and recently met a black guy from France who told me that he had more opportunities in Montreal.
@@kristinamorgan5098 Good for him. Proves nothing.
Well done, 😄😉 respect. you've come a long way since your first videos in Colombia. I specify in Paris at Chateau Rouge, people do not want to be filmed because they have been deceived several times, through manipulated reports have shown them as bad people
Ace you are doing a fantastic job. Keep on moving don’t stop. You are great
I have never been interested in European travel so this is an intereting insight into the mixed black African side ofFrance. The female Congolese cousins 47mins are a beautiful addition to this interesting video.

The dapa guy in suit is a "Sape", a fashion culture from Congo.

It's not "sape" it's sartorial culture (he said it). It's another level. Sape is a kind of stubborn kid of it.

Nice Video (Ace) of Paris great seeing other Cultures around Paris.🥳🥳🥳
Very interesting a lot of black Americans migrated their during jim crow era. France definitely has something different going on then the rest of Europe. A lot of Black influence in French culture too nice video Ace
Black American people influences the whole world
All over Western Europe you have countries that have migrants from former colonies living there for a few generations already.
Really ?? Interesting I never knew this.. especially with Arabic North Africans
Le Sapeur😅
How many?
This was soooo good! I love this. So informative.
You got me, French Don Cheadle thumb nail. Haha
Nice interview in Paris! Living in the other side of Paris. Could you come to Trappes for this kind of interview? ❤❤❤

This Anthony again i left out a few details about my cousin that he is a black American from Louisiana with amazing story opening his business for 20 years and he lived there for 40 years.
Yeah?? Wow.. in France for 40 years ??
Is he into food?
Louisiana is the US state with the most french influence on it
Black French swag these people are so chic
Keep up the amazing work ACE they'll talk to you. You the man!
The reason why Hip Hop (dance) is strong in France is because of the many black people living here. To me France is the European country that resembles the US the most.
We don't have gunshot in France and we're not making everything about race. Not even close to the US.

@@ilanakidiadia3181 "we don't have gunshot in France"? Uuuuh... Maybe where you live bro, I can't say the same. "Not everything about race". Well not to the same extent as the US, but that's relative.

@@ilanakidiadia3181Yes, you do. I heard everything in France revolves around race.
I guess i'm safe then🤣 rien n'est relatif quand tu compares la France aux Etats-Unis y'a pas plus opposé. Mon point de vue.
They join the colonizer in his own country. Proof that the colonizer was not that bad.....

Great video, Ace! Paris seems like a good place to meet versatile black people from different African cultures and speak multiple languages.
Ace likes “boom boom”. Qué charlatán. Jejeje 😆😆
The interviews really humanize things and make you feel something other than the typical gratification a lot of people come for. Incidentally, the gentleman who mentioned that it’s all about communication/trying to get through to others/understanding one another is obviously correct.
Will you be staying for the Olympics and through them? Would be cool if we witnessed an event through your eyes. I’d say go to the Puerto Rico vs South Sudan basketball game on Sunday morning/afternoon… But anyway, anything would be appreciated and a good surprise. 💪🏽🤙🏽👍🏽
The hat is hilarious, sign the national French anthem on camera that would be dope and funny 😂
