- Two weeks before his passing, Shamar Rinpoche gave his last recorded interview in Dhagpo Kagyu Ling on 27 May, 2014.
Later that night, in the car on his way to dinner, he sang the Amitabha Dewachen prayer into an iphone - because he said we were all singing it wrong. After weeks of waiting, the Kudung of Shamar Rinpoche is finally allowed to enter Nepal. It is greeted at the airport by hundreds, and the streets of Kathmandu are overflowing by the thousands.
Deux semaines avant son décès, Shamar Rinpoché a donné sa dernière interview à Dhagpo Kagyu Ling, le 27 mai 2014.
Plus tard ce soir-là, dans la voiture qui le menait vers son dîner, il a chanté la prière d’Amitabha dans un iphone - car il disait que nous la chantions tous faux.
Après avoir attendu des semaines, le kudung de Shamar Rinpoché est finalement autorisé à entrer au Népal. Il est accueilli par des centaines de personnes à l’aéroport, et par des milliers dans les rues de Katmandou.
Des milliers de personnes partout dans le monde ont été touchés par Shamar Rinpoché ; à chaque escale de la tournée, les rues débordaient littéralement de disciples et d’étudiants. Ils pleuraient, acclamaient ou restaient sans voix, mais partageaient tous au moins une chose : même s’ils étaient tristes, on lisait sur leurs visages de la joie, le message victorieux que bien qu’il ait quitté physiquement ce monde, Rinpoché était partout et encore capable d’éclairer les vies de tous. En nous unifiant tous ainsi comme jamais auparavant, il a été capable de nous rassembler par des moyens que nous n’aurions jamais imaginés.
Shamar Rinpoché:
La vie des êtres sensibles ne porte pas …
naturellement au bonheur ultime.
Vous éprouvez parfois des bonheurs de courte durée, mais tout change.
C’est inévitable, non ?
Le changement est inévitable.
Tout, tout est impermanent.
Rien n’est permanent, vous devez comprendre cela.
Par conséquent, ne soyez pas surpris lorsque quelque chose change.
D’accord ?
Rien n’est permanent.
Vous devez donc l’intégrer, vous devez comprendre que les choses ne sont pas permanentes.
La méditation a été inventé pour connaître les problèmes,
Et savoir comment les résoudre, d’accord ?
Pour savoir comment développer la sagesse,
Afin de vaincre toutes vos illusions.
La méditation suit la nature des choses,
C’est un remède naturel.
Cette connaissance peut être mise en oeuvre ou appliquée dans tous les aspects de votre vie.
Elle vous apportera de grands résultats,
Elle ne vous induira jamais en erreur.
Karmapa:
Chers amis,
La tradition karma kagyü a perdu un chef suprême et un des détenteurs de notre lignée.
Et j’ai perdu mon maître, mon père spirituel.
Il est naturel et compréhensible que chacun soit profondément affecté par le décès de Shamar Rinpoché.
Beaucoup vont demander :
Et maintenant ?
Quelle est la suite ?
Il n’y a pas lieu de s’inquiéter pour l’avenir.
L’enseignement sur l’impermanence…
Tous les êtres, même le Bouddha, doivent disparaître.
J’aimerais vous assurer qu’en vous focalisant sur votre pratique,
Et en restant vrai avec vous-même,
Vous en tirerez un très grand bienfait.
Nous serons tous connectés,
D’une manière qui transcende les frontières du temps et de l’espace.

Venerable Sharmar Rinpoche was an exceptional lama who was knowledgable, learned, courageous and very outspoken for the right causes. Although he respected the Dalai Lama, he never ran after the Dalai Lama for every gathering and teaching and snuggle up to Dalai Lama to up his own fame. Many lamas gather at Dalai Lama's teachings to be seen and photographed with Dalai Lama so that they can be famous too. In Tibetan society, if you have the 'approval' of the King, you will catapult into fame. Sharmar did not do that. He was forthright. Even when Dalai Lama and Dharamsala leaders chose the Karmapa that was against Sharmapa Rinpoche's choice, he spoke up and firmly. He did not agree with the Dalai Lama's choice of Karmapa and he was brave to speak up clearly about this. He is remembered for his courage and his lack of fear in the pursuit of truth. May his fautless incarnation arise soon from Dharmakaya.

Dos semanas antes de su fallecimiento, Shamar Rinpoche dio su última entrevista. La cual fue grabada en Dhagpo Kagyu Ling el 27 de mayo 2014.

Awful music. Great film. Thank you. I once tried to teach him and Jamgon Kongtrul how to swim at the Asokha Hotel in New Delhi, years ago, when they were in their late teens. They offered me a coke.
