Nora the owner of the restaurant at the end was aunt Nora from the very first jumanji so that was a nice little connection to the original movie
She was also Frasier Cranes girlfriend, Lilith , in Cheers.

@@mikedoskitomen1991 Well with the state of CGI nowadays of inserting actors who have passed away back into roles they starred in when they were alive (such as Carrie Fisher for The Rise of Skywalker and Peter Cushing for Rogue One). Who knows, maybe they could get permission from Robin Williams' estate to use his likeness and put him somehow in the next movie.

I love the fact Bethany didn’t get pulled in initially. It's clever because the game says, "a game for those who seek to find a way to leave their world behind" and Bethany was the only one who was perfectly happy with her life so the game skipped over her and took the others from upstairs instead.
Never thought of it that way. I doubt it was intentional but it's still a neat little theory.
I don't think Fridge wanted to leave his world behind, yet he got sucked in. Besides, Bethany did eventually enter the game.
@@ronfehr7899 Fridge was scared and didn't want to enter the game but that's not the same thing. And yeah it always bugged me that they never showed how Bethany and Alex found a way in. They made a point of showing it miss her so they should have showed how she got past that.
I don't know about that because I feel like Fridge definitely didn't want to leave his world behind!

Getting old DOES suck. I bought light bulbs this week that supposedly last for 22 years. Then I realized that means I'll probably go out before they do.
I know, I had to adjust my will.

They can just keep making these and just have the same actors just act like completely different people everytime. 😂
Was hoping you'd be reacting to this eventually after your other reactions to Jumanji. It was impressive how both Dwayne and Awkwafina (Nora Lum) could mimic Danny De Vito as grandpa. And of course, Jack Black doing what he does best. If you remember, Nora (Bebe Neworth) was from the original Jumanji with Robin Williams.
While there aren't any more Jumanji movies at the moment, you would probably enjoy "Zathura: A Space Adventure" (2005). It's based on a book by the same author as Jumanji and is very similar to the original Jumanji movie. It's basically an unofficial sequel.
The Zathura movie was actually marketed as a spin-off of Jumanji even though the books both movies were based off of had Zathura as a sequel to Jumanji.
Nora at the end is the kids' aunt from the first Jumanji
The fact that Jurgen had stats like Spencer and the gang means he is NOT an NPC. He is a real player in Jumanji. Maybe we will see him again in the sequel.
I remember reading a rumor awhile back that was going to be the case. Whether that is actually happening we will have to wait and see.

I've played games where you can look at an NPC and get stats.
Since we saw the game bringing elements to the real world in the post credits scene, I always assumed we'll get to see the game's characters (the Rock and gang) brought into the real world to be able to interact with Spencer and the rest of his gang. Maybe even see horse Milo come out of the game too.
Who would be 'inhabiting' them in order for them to be able to interact?
This is the first time I have heard of Jumanji The next level, would love to get it on DVD 😊
I really liked The Next Level. I'm hoping that the third one will come out soon, so that way we can end the trilogy with more laughs.
With this comment. Granted, it would be great the cast to make a third movie for their trilogy. But, I'm wondering. Do you, and if Addie reads this. This one is actually a fourth movie in the Jumanji series 🤔😁
@xenoalways1474 I actually did know that. I have of the spinoff, Zathura, but it's a standalone adventure. This movie technically is the fourth, but also the second and third at the same time.

This IS a great movie. All of the same "player" and an added few. Plus Nora, from the Original JUMANJI. In my personal opinion, the doorn is WIDE OPEN for a 4 JUMANJI movie. And from the look of it, it has come to our world this time. But, I could be wrong. Devito and Glover did as ALWAYS, a great job. And YOU, Addie. This Post, as always, was Great. Hoping for another installment of JUMANJI.
This is my favorite of the series! Great cast and i think it was genius to switch up the characters. It was emotional to see Milo stay but who wouldn't want to be a flying horse!! 🐴 i hope they make another Jumanji! They are just fun to watch! Thanks for sharing! Luv ya Addie ❤️💛

Have to say I liked Welcome to the Jungle a lot more, but there were still things to enjoy in this one, and I especially like how they toyed around with some of the characters while inside the game

not many put together that, since Jurgan the Brutal had a strengths/weaknesses screen, he may have been a player himself.
Yes, he might have been there for much longer than even Alan Parrish, not having finished his game and turning to the other side.
I have the theory that players who die in the game (i.e. run out of lives) might turn into NPCs.
Just like the ones that cheated were transformed into monkeys like in the very first movie.
There are still some ideas to toy around with in the next sequel (pun intended).
This is the best sequel in this trilogy.
Yes there will be another, its been confirmed, at first they were saying we had to wait after the movie Red One, another Dwayne Johnson movie, finished production. Then the WGA strike happened and they had to postpone it for that as well. Hopefully now that both Red One has finished production and the WGA strike is over they should be starting production of Jumanji 4 sometime soon.
Such a great film, personally it's one of my favorite newer movies. I can only hope the third one sticks to the recipe of the previous two films and they can retain the 5 main cast members in some way.

There is no set release date for Jumanji 4 yet, as it has been delayed by the completion of a separate Dwayne Johnson movie project. The plot of Jumanji 4 is still unknown, but the mid-credits scene of Jumanji: The Next Level suggests that the characters may have escaped the game into the real world.

Fun reaction, Addie. I'm so glad that you enjoyed Jumanji: The Next Level (2019). I enjoyed seeing it in theaters with my girlfriend and some friends of ours, back when it first came out. Danny DeVito & Danny Glover are hilarious. BTW, this was the perfect pallette cleanse for you, after having survived Halloween (1978). And you definitely look like Ruby Roundhouse (Karen Gillan).

God forbid actors making barely enough to live on want a bigger slice of the pie from the literal billion dollar corporations that profit off of them. The temerity of actors to want and ensure work that they do gets compensated. How dare actors not just continue as is and let the giant corporations use A.I. to slowly push actual people out of jobs. There (actors) very existence is at stake, and as somebody who enjoys movies or TV, maybe support the people (of which, the relative few make serious money) that actually make those characters and ideas come to life. Imagine siding with studios like WB's, a 25b dollar company, or 20th Century Fox, a 70b dollar company instead of regular Joe or Jane actor..... It boggles my mind.

The narcissism to think that you are being targeted is astounding. I watched this movie and... the people who scripted it and edited it together need a lesson in pacing. Too many slow sections which dragged, then fun parts that were skipped over too quickly. It was a disservice to some good actors and some thoughtful set design. A very mixed reaction from me.
