      @hxrrisali  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi, thank you & no problem! In my experience, I can confidently say that as long as you’ve studied the materials in each subject, it’s very difficult to fail an exam. Most doctors are quite lenient and take into account your performance throughout the semester. There is generally a good balance of work and socializing throughout the year, despite the fact that exam season can be hectic

      @@KREZ10 Yep, the entrance exam is an MCQ test with a couple of open-ended questions. What is the minimum a level grade requirement to apply

    • @hxrrisali
      @hxrrisali  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you! Fees were £8000, average price of rent is approx £350-£400, and shopping per week for me would cost around £40 (I only bought essentials as I used to get a lot of food delivered from the UK), so in total, approx £15,000. Maybe a bit more if you’re travelling frequently to/from home. As far as I know, minimum grade B in either Biology or Chemistry A-Level. Hope that helps!

    How do you fund your studies? Do you have a part time job on the side? How easy is it to find work/partime job in Bulgaria?

    • @hxrrisali

      Hi! Most students (including myself) get support from their families as there isn’t really much scope to work a part-time job here unless you’re fluent in the Bulgarian language. Personally, I helped tutor students online as a means to earn a little bit of cash, and since it was virtual, I was able to work remotely alongside my studies. I hope that helps :)

    • @hxrrisali
      @hxrrisali  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! It depends primarily on your lecturer/professor, only because some are more lenient than others regarding attendance. Some expect you to attend every seminar, whilst others would be okay with you missing a couple of classes in a semester. For me personally, I used to travel home every 4-5 weeks for a long weekend, missing only a couple of extra days each time - but bear in mind I usually missed classes that weren’t too strict on attendance.

    • @hxrrisali
      @hxrrisali  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@arslanjavaid4928 No problem :) We get approximately two months off (2 weeks for christmas, 1 week in february, 1 week for easter, 4 weeks for summer). That’s consistent from years 1-5. You get a little bit more time off in 6th year, but that just depends on how your doctor arranges your timetable for each rotation (i.e. sometimes they split you into smaller groups, and you can arrange with your group members who goes in for one week and who goes in for the next etc.)

    Should I apply to only one medical university in Bulgaria or to multiple universities?
    Is there any guarantee that if i apply to, say Plovdiv, I'll get admission there?

    • @hxrrisali
      @hxrrisali  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! As far as I know, it’s definitely possible to apply to multiple universities (as long as you do so before the appointed deadlines) - but bear in mind they each have their own entry exams and specific paperwork. I think almost everyone who applies to the university gets offered a place, as long as you’ve passed the entry exam and your paperwork/high school grades are accepted. There’s approximately 200-250 places offered per year. To answer your last question, I’d say it’s best to arrive 2-3 weeks beforehand just to adjust to the city and to find your ideal accommodation.

      Hi! I’m not sure I can speak to that, since that has not been my experience. But, I have seen students fail exams and blame their professors rather than acknowledge their own lack of preparedness. @waleedkhan1144 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes some students do fail because of the lack of preparedness. I guess we didn’t have the the same professors then. My professors started hating my group to the point they never even allowed us to ask any question and deliberately finished the classes in half the amount they were supposed to. It’s a very unprofessional university
