Harry is not new. He was with GR since he came to F1 as I remember - or at least since 2020. He was mostly his marketing manager - idk what he does now. He spent nearly whole last season around track with George. I have seen him there a lot. Many times arriving with him or with Carmen. As driver G was managed by (never by Toto) but by Gwen Lagrue who is head of Mercedes young drivers. Toto is head of whole Motorsport division - so also leads that program and makes decisions there. But he haven’t worked as his manager directly. That was joung drivers program so practically Gwen. I see Gwen around GR a lot even now so I assume that relationship continues.
@@coletrickIe That is true. I visited Germany a few years ago and was caught off guard with the crazy drop in speed as you approach exits and the line of trucks!
That was the best most natural plug for a product placement I've ever seen haha well done. It seems like a really useful free service honestly, I just recommended it to my start up
My brother used to own a 2019 2.0T Accord here in Saudi, it felt even faster than that number suggests because the engine keeps punching hard across the rev range, I have a 2016 Golf GTI and even that doesn't feel as quick (the GTI still handles better though).
Watched a review a while back where they compared the Accord 2.0T against the Toyota Camry TRD (n/a V6) and the Mazda 6 2.5T. The Accord beat its two competitors in the quarter mile easily. I’ve also seen a modded one online where the owner swapped the turbo for one from the new Civic Type R and was tuned to a bit over 300whp.
Always enjoy your videos. You have added a whole new flavor of comprehension of the totality of the F1 environment in ways that nobody else has. This is my 36th year as a fan. It started with the Detroit Grand Prix of 1986. I became instantly fanatical! I love the level of competition between drivers and all of the extreme engineering involved, the technology, the pushing the limits of what cars can do on a track. The extremes of technology and sport testing human beings in all sorts of ways that no other endeavor does. It’s beautiful! I was a huge Nigel Mansell fan in those formative years of my fanship. Those were some crazy days of tiny engines with stratospheric horsepower pushing chassis who’s sophistication wasn’t always up to the horsepowers they were asked to handle. Senna, Prost, and Mansell provided me with mini thrills and then the decades since it hasn’t let up. It’s simply the greatest sport conceived by man! And so much more massive and sophisticated now than it ever was then. Phenomenal evolution that no one would’ve predicted then, except possibly Bernie Ecclestone!?
Sorry Kym, in the first shot of VB w the green Alfa is a Stelvio QV SUV as is the red one. then when discussion ZJ we see a red guilia saloon QV from the side..
I’m always surprised when a driver arrives in a vehicle brand they are not professionally associated with. Everyone’s watching. Ferrari guys in a jeep? Get some loaners from the local dealership!
Often drivers/teams will drive in cars that have connections with the brands they race for (say if they are part of a larger car company like the Volkswagen group or the Renault Nissan alliance) So in the case of the Ferrari drivers, Jeep were merged into the FIAT group a few years back, and for years Ferrari and Fiat have been connected in some capacity ( I believe Fiat still own a minority stake in Ferrari to this day) so while they aren’t driving a Ferrari to the track, they’re still driving a brand that has connections to Ferrari (albeit indirectly)
They can't risk them driving Ferrari's to race track due to reliability issue, too many things that could potentially fail and cause a PR headache, and complicate the day for drivers.
@kym Illman I have given up on AVIS. I had a similar experience in South Africa when I went on holiday to Johannesburg last year. So hard to get refunded once I got to the States.
Toto managed Bottas too when he was brought to Merc. The reason Russell got a new manager is exactly because of that conflict of interest. Bottas did the same when he joined Merc.
Wondering why F1 drivers take risk driving in countries on normal roads with traffic and all . What if they meet with an accident coming towards race track? And countries like Saudi or Bahrain or others have strict rules around accidental deaths. Isn’t it huge risk for team owners allowing F1 drivers to drive on normal roads with traffic and all ?
Has it always been like that that Saudi-Arabia gets shortened to just Saudi in English? I’m not a native speaker so please forgive me lack of knowledge 😅🇦🇹

I wonder how it feels for someone like Max to go from driving 200mph on track and then jumping in an Accord post-race. Enjoying your videos Kym!

Such a clever series! Thank you for all the hard work that obviously goes into this. 🎉

Wow, that Honda Accord is actually quick as hell, didn't know the Accord could put out 250hp. That's faster than a GTI

Toto should drive a Volkswagen Beetle, because he's the "Bug" that Ferrari is going to squash!!!! 😎😃💪👍👏

Oh sure, if only Lewis drove electric from his hotel to the track and back, it would completely offset his carbon footprint...😅
