Currently going through finals for law school. Been feeling heavily burnt out and tired. This song encapsulated so much of what I've been feeling that I couldn't really get out. Thank you.
My teenage cousin is OBSESSED with getting into Stanford. It is as if her life will be over if she doesn't get in. It makes me really sad because, "no one cares" in real life. She's 15 and has no life because all she does is school. I was skateboarding, playing in bands, goofing around and still managed to get a degree and have a good life. Considered sending her this song, maybe with lyrics. Thoughts anyone?
I dont know how privilege you and your cousin in your place. but in my country a degree is important for a proper living. "They said". Guess we have to be smart for living the life. White collars job isnt always that great tho.
If that's what she wants then good luck to her. Hopefully, her parent's remind her that it's not the 'be all and end all' though because not all dreams are realised. I feel more sorry for the kids pressured by their parents, when it's obvious the kid neither wants it, nor are they really suited to said path.
The real meaning of this song is the growing demand for a 12 team playoff bracket in the college football playoff in order for more G5 schools to have greater postseason success
graduated in last November with my bachelors in social work and only worked in an corporate office for 8 years/ major career change haha and the pressure still isn’t gone and the thought of my masters make me want to projectile vomit 😩😩😂😂
unfortunately for social work, masters accrditation is quickly becoming the only way to get a good paying job. More power to you sister, the world needs more masters anyway! Get on it!

hahahaha oh buddy..... the real grind starts after the degree. I got a econ degree also and you will be surprised how much you really use it. You will get a solid job. However using the degree effectively is the challenge.
