- After doing their individual section warm-ups, the SMB gathers to do a no-movement once-over of the song El Toro Caliente, which they plan to perform at the 2019 Pinstripe Bowl.
For this one, they will just stay in place, marking time on their own to keep the beat. You'll notice a few of the individual band members "twitching", or "doing partial turns/takeoffs" at different times during the playing of this song. Even though they are not moving, by doing these things at the correct places in the song, they are keeping the times when they make dramatic turns/moves/ swings during the actual performance in their heads, so that when it comes time to march, these actions will be instinctual.
Kinda like how a prize boxer practices the punches and moves they will use on their opponent in their corner, before the bell rings for real and the battle is on.
