Starkey delivers a shit sandwich right between the teeth of anyone who comes close to stopping him from talking. Really, only the brutally honest can be this brutal.
I think it was more about categorising people, saying that all women think in one particular way. I wouldn't want everything about me to be postulated on the fact that I'm a man, so I don't see why it would be right to do so to women. In fact, saying 'Women all do this' is the very definition of sexism.
mattcast44 No it isn't. I could say that women all have breasts, or they all have vaginas, and that would simply be fact, notwithstanding the rare exceptions (breast removal surgery etc,.). Something is not sexist simply because it assumes a group trait that may well be true. Additionally, I see no one crying over the fact that he has DIRECTLY INSULTED men, by saying they are all heartless. " I wouldn't want everything about me to be postulated on the fact that I'm a man," I do agree with this, but this is not what Starkey is doing. He's simply taking a single trait and emphasising it for effect. I personally don't even agree with him, but if this is sexist, it is sexist against men, not women.
Ronnie Swoleman Your statement refers to biological facts. What Starkey says is that all women can only think with their hearts, all men can only think with their heads. Yes, it is sexist against men and women. But if you listen to his discourse, he is saying that this is a situation where we ned to think with our heads. Thus all women are wrong about the situation as they can only think with their hearts. There is a huge difference between biological attributes and nonsensical inventions about the different way that the different genders think.
Ronnie Swoleman I think that all different people think in all different ways and that being a man or a woman is just one factor of many which plays a role in the way we think. Now, rather than asking (pretty irrelevant) questions or opening up a discussion on sex and gender, are you going to address the points I raised?
Starkey is brilliant. We do have intellectual politicians but they are constrained by elections, he isn't so he can say exactly what he thinks. He has enormous intellect and eats people like the man at 2:40 for breakfast. That man will never go back on a public TV programme again!
The guy was a pompous, patronising ignoramus. Of course it's important that people understand that the reason why the current government is struggling to deal with certain issues. Prats like him have short memories and like to blame anyone but themselves for being able to give the Tory party some semblance of due in trying to clean up the mess that Labour had made. I'm not a big fan of the Tory part either but we need to be fair when it comes to the blame game.
Starkey is a quality speaker. Precise and concise. As he said, which is completely correst, it is all facts! What a shame nobody has the balls to directly answer important issues
Labour were in government for 13 years, so I don't think you could blame Tories. Gordon Brown painted himself as some sort of 'steady hand' on the economy, and having safeguarded us from boom and bust. The truth is, he sailed to close to the wind with our countries' finances with vote bribing giveaways such as tax credits etc. Their PFI deals we are still paying for today, and our disgusting hospitals, cleaned by private sector agency staff, are what we have to show for it. Don't get me started at selling off our gold at the bottom of the market. Socialism is expensive.
They're partly to blame for deregulation of the banks, but that had to be done. There was no right or wrong decision. In reality, the wider global market crash was a result of itself as a system, not the Labour Party.
One other point to bare in mind - and it is crucial - he didn't say the global financial crisis was Labour's fault. He said Labour ruined our finances. Two different things.
I agree with Starkey on many things, at least he's saying what a lot of people are thinking and doesn't mince his words unlike most of the slippery snake politicians and other public figures! Not sure about that sexist comment though, I hope it was tongue in cheek!
Fortnight Ish Who gives a shit, women make jokes about men like that and nobody ever bats an eye. It's simply because the focus was on him at the time, suddenly women are up in arms. Boo hoo
Clark contradicts himself because he says that footballers are only too happy to contribute towards tax but then defends them when they're accused of tax avoidance.
Starkey is head and shoulders above the rest of these panellists. It is folly to take him on.....but they do try!!! Savage is an understatement, but he is always based in FACT.
His father worked in a washing machine factory and his mother was a cleaner. He brought himself out of the gutter. It's absurd to say he has no idea about real life. He knows far more about it than the rest of the panel, and he most certainly isn't a liar.

There is a huge difference between biological attributes and nonsensical inventions about the different way that the different genders think.
mattcast44 1. Gender isn't a thing, it is sex
2. can you prove that women think identically to men? I think you'll find it tough.
Ronnie Swoleman I think that all different people think in all different ways and that being a man or a woman is just one factor of many which plays a role in the way we think. Now, rather than asking (pretty irrelevant) questions or opening up a discussion on sex and gender, are you going to address the points I raised?
go on starkey, you absolute legend
I like the way he says 'issue' lol
Starkey is brilliant. We do have intellectual politicians but they are constrained by elections, he isn't so he can say exactly what he thinks. He has enormous intellect and eats people like the man at 2:40 for breakfast. That man will never go back on a public TV programme again!
Fat twat , has no idea what he is saying. Starkey verbally nutted him.
I thought Starkey was the fat twat.
"Ladies like the heart" is sexist? Are we really going to pretend that male and female psychology are identical?
One need only examine the voting patterns broken down by sex to see the truth of this.
Starkey is a quality speaker. Precise and concise. As he said, which is completely correst, it is all facts! What a shame nobody has the balls to directly answer important issues
however........... 12 years later................
Why do you have the insolence to think that your opinion is better than anybody else’s?!
David Starkey cracks me up 😂😂
AT DE DOOOOWRRR
HOLD THE DOOR! HOLD DOOR! HOLD DOOR! HODOR! HODOR!
Man can barely fit through the door
To be insulted by Mr. S I would count as a medal. To find myself agreeing with him would be scary.
The “tax avoidance” audience member was quite attractive
He’s an absolute legend. What a great guy.
Did Labour wreck virtually every economy in Europe?
don't forget wall Street
+brendan w No, but they made sure Britain wasn't prepared for it.
Actually they are partly to blame
They're partly to blame for deregulation of the banks, but that had to be done. There was no right or wrong decision. In reality, the wider global market crash was a result of itself as a system, not the Labour Party.
One other point to bare in mind - and it is crucial - he didn't say the global financial crisis was Labour's fault. He said Labour ruined our finances. Two different things.
I'm pleasantly surprised to see someone involved in football to be both intelligent and clear ...
I wanna see David Starkey vs Katie Hopkins
oh god... YES!
Watch Starkey v Laurie Penny
lol I've seen it! She was completely speechless lol
+Derek Crumplesnatch Crumplesnatch?
+Marilyn Lewis Nah he was just stupid
Starkey literally owns everyone!
I love Dr Starkey. Thoroughly sensible and truthful.
David Starkey is amazing
I agree with Starkey on many things, at least he's saying what a lot of people are thinking and doesn't mince his words unlike most of the slippery snake politicians and other public figures! Not sure about that sexist comment though, I hope it was tongue in cheek!
Fortnight Ish Who gives a shit, women make jokes about men like that and nobody ever bats an eye. It's simply because the focus was on him at the time, suddenly women are up in arms. Boo hoo
Starkey's a national treasure! ;-)
He didnt insult john redwood, that really was a compliment...
Clark contradicts himself because he says that footballers are only too happy to contribute towards tax but then defends them when they're accused of tax avoidance.
I used to watch him on a saturday night just before match of the day ... Solving crimes with his partner hutch
Is that Huggy Bear on the right of the panel?
tee hee david i love you
Nice edit of the nodding dog
How did we get here - today?
TopTellyFan: _"What a pillock!"_
Your viewers disagree.
Didn't realise greengrocers were at the 'bottom of the scale'
Fair enough he insulted john redwood but I dident see him insult anyone else.
A tax avoiding footballer telling everyone they should be taxed more... haha
If you are going to do battle with David Starkey you had better come prepared because no one is as prepared as David Starkey is.
Starky`s probably the most knowledgeable and sensible speaker at the present time. IF ONLY the complete Political bunch who sit in Parliament could be as sensible and knowledgeable as him ,we wouldn`t be in the dire position we find ourselves now.
