I'm not understanding how some felt like this was a series finale when multiple storylines were left wide opened. Is Keyshawn getting out of jail and where will Derrick be with her kids? Will Hailey have to come back because I'm pretty sure that's not the last time we see her? Is Mane going to go after someone Mercedes love because he's mad at her, i.e. her daughter? Was Uncle Clifford hallucinating when her Lil Murda were kissing in front of everyone? Is Lil' Murda going to, eventually go on that tour? Will Mane's gang expose Lil' Murda and hurt him to get back at him for Pico? How come Big Bone and Hailey didn't know each other if Hailey was Montavious woman and Hailey was a member of his gang? Is Diamond going to live or be tortured and die? No storyline was really closed up.

I’m a Social Work student and I can personally attest how fucked up CPS is and the importance of defunding CPS because the entire CPS/foster care system does little in actually helping abused children and women of domestic violence, especially Black women. Watching Keyshawn and her fight to survive as a viewer made me so angry. Her relationship is one of the reasons why I, as a Black Queer cismale, am wary of interracial relationships, especially with white people, because I don’t want to be in a position like Keyshawn where I am defenseless especially when dealing with institutions notoriously white supremacist and my partner doesn’t defends me. As a matter, they use the system to their advantage. To be quite honest, the system benefits white people like Derrick whilst oppressing those like Keyshawn. Aside from Keyshawn and Derrick, I’m so happy that Mercedes reunite with her daughter! I’m honestly surprise by the way Patrice treated Mercedes.

I’ve worked for dcfs for 16 years I’ve seen it all. The hair Paul should’ve called it in immediately when she took him to the Hosptial. I can imagine how Derrick is going to use his whiteness to play the victim and his family has money and connections. Unfortunately Keyshawns family has money but they don’t support her. I wasn’t expecting this but it’s spot on.
I’m a therapist and what happened with Keyshawn is real. Depending on the location it will go down just like that. She’s a black woman who works as a sex worker married to a white man with family connections in the South. Hell the sheriff came to his house personally when the stuff happened at the first murda night. Those of us with experience dealing or working with CPS know how it goes down and how political it gets.

I said the same thing. Like girl that like is monitored! I get that she is an abused woman, but many abused woman at least call the police a couple of times after they get beat down. Always love your reviews….my question about the finale is how Big Bone kept saying how “the walls talk”, yet it didn’t tell her that Hailey was Montavius wife and the main reason he went to the Pynk? She act like she didn’t even know Hailey’s connection to Montavius at all to at least question her. That just has me pissed off that Hailey gets to walk off in a white suit while Diamond thrown in a trunk!
Big Bone didn’t know Hailey. And the these walls talk was about Keyshawn because she was jealous of the hood keyshawn still had on Diamond. And she wasn’t going to do anything to Diamond until she saw him and keyshawn kissing.

Patrice really thinks she’s running things but the scene where the City Councilman (a Kyle) brother approved Corbin’s land build truly shows who runs the town. Also, Mercedes last dance was spectacular and I’m glad she left the pole on her own accord😌

As a social worker I’m pissed because you gotta be able to read between the lines. Also on average it takes an abuse victims 7 attempts to leave before they leave for good. Usually the abuser has a victim so isolated and dependent on them they are unable to support themselves or there kids once they leave.

Everybody got a happy ending except Keshawn . I got why she was angry and ended up snapping but she could’ve waited it out since she had that car full of money. She also didn’t need to stop and say bye to everybody. Could’ve just got the kids and bounced. I didn’t get why she had to say bye to lil murda & I didn’t get why she even went to the stepmom/ pops house when the stepmoms never liked her it made no sense

I know they expected most folks to be cheering at Hailey being outmaneuvered, and maybe most were-- I wasn't one of them though. And I don't understand how Big Bone didn't recognize Hailey and why they aren't after her, too.
This Finale was okay. I hate that Keyshawn didn't like pay for a hotel room for her sister to watch her kids. The stepmom I don't think she's still with the daddy because the stairwells were completely different. Lol and she ain't gone get bail because she assaulted a police officer in Mississippi. I wished she waited until CPS left to go off on Derrick.

I’m a Social Work student and I can personally attest how fucked up CPS is and the importance of defunding CPS because the entire CPS/foster care system does little in actually helping abused children and women of domestic violence, especially Black women. Watching Keyshawn and her fight to survive as a viewer made me so angry. Her relationship is one of the reasons why I, as a Black Queer cismale, am wary of interracial relationships, especially with white people, because I don’t want to be in a position like Keyshawn where I am defenseless especially when dealing with institutions notoriously white supremacist and my partner doesn’t defends me. As a matter, they use the system to their advantage. To be quite honest, the system benefits white people like Derrick whilst oppressing those like Keyshawn.
Aside from Keyshawn and Derrick, I’m so happy that Mercedes reunite with her daughter! I’m honestly surprise by the way Patrice treated Mercedes.
I know Keyshawn is young but why did she trust her stepmom or step sisters with her kids? And fuxk Patrice I hate family members that only wanna be nice to you because of money Patrice is happy she's Mayor and will have all these monetary opportunities and now she wanna do right by her daughter she pimped out and stole from, fuxk her

I’ve worked for dcfs for 16 years I’ve seen it all. The hair Paul should’ve called it in immediately when she took him to the Hosptial. I can imagine how Derrick is going to use his whiteness to play the victim and his family has money and connections. Unfortunately Keyshawns family has money but they don’t support her. I wasn’t expecting this but it’s spot on.
I’m a therapist and what happened with Keyshawn is real. Depending on the location it will go down just like that. She’s a black woman who works as a sex worker married to a white man with family connections in the South. Hell the sheriff came to his house personally when the stuff happened at the first murda night. Those of us with experience dealing or working with CPS know how it goes down and how political it gets.

As a social worker I’m pissed because you gotta be able to read between the lines. Also on average it takes an abuse victims 7 attempts to leave before they leave for good. Usually the abuser has a victim so isolated and dependent on them they are unable to support themselves or there kids once they leave.

Everybody got a happy ending except Keshawn . I got why she was angry and ended up snapping but she could’ve waited it out since she had that car full of money. She also didn’t need to stop and say bye to everybody. Could’ve just got the kids and bounced. I didn’t get why she had to say bye to lil murda & I didn’t get why she even went to the stepmom/ pops house when the stepmoms never liked her it made no sense

Loved how Lil Murda and Clifford's storyline turned out. Had me shedding thug tears. lol Didn't care for the Cliff versus Hailey scene. I know they expected most folks to be cheering at Hailey being outmaneuvered, and maybe most were-- I wasn't one of them though. And I don't understand how Big Bone didn't recognize Hailey and why they aren't after her, too.

This Finale was okay. I hate that Keyshawn didn't like pay for a hotel room for her sister to watch her kids. The stepmom I don't think she's still with the daddy because the stairwells were completely different. Lol and she ain't gone get bail because she assaulted a police officer in Mississippi. I wished she waited until CPS left to go off on Derrick.
This episode was really good! I hate that my girl Keyshawn didn’t get away 😩 but it’s not surprising with Derrick’s crazy a**. When Hailey didn’t get that 5 million she was tf sick 😭 and how tf was big bone handling diamond like a rag doll 😩😂 (strong ass). All and all this was a great episode and I hope we get a third season 🤞🏾 love your reviews btw
