I was overwhelmed by the Teak and Lil Murda scene . I had to leave the room for a minute and catch my breath. but I did come back and watch the whole scene. I have to say ,, it was beautifully done. I'm rooting for Cliff and Murda, but I have to say, I did really enjoy the love scene with Murda and Big Teak. I loved how gentle and affectionate it was. No one was slammed against the walls, thrown on the floor or any of that. They were just two Black men sharing love and it was so beautiful. I am scared though. Big Teak is really in love with Murda and is gonna get hurt in all this. He seems very fragile

Great review as always, Ashley! This episode was everything, so here's my thoughts: 1. Corbin may have found his voice, but he's doing WAAAYYY too much. He strikes me as a bully. He clams up around his brothers, but when he's around Hailey, he feels free to call her out her name and disrespect her. If you want to do business, you need to be professional, not act like you have no home training. 2. Andre and his wife just need to cut their losses. He was emotionally cheating on her, and she actually did cheat on him. Plus, her reaction to him catching her and announcing his run for mayor, as well what he revealed about his in-laws, shows why he was so distant from her from get go. It's time to sign them papers. 3. BTW Ashley, to answer your question, Dre *almost* cheated on Brittney with Hailey. That was the night the Pynk was supposed to close for good and Hailey almost gave him some good-good in one of the private rooms. However, before things could get started, Brittney called Dre to let him know that she was in town, and he rushed back to his hotel room to give her what he couldn't give Hailey. And that child thought he put it on her so good because he missed her. LOL. 4. The Coach-Mercedes-Farrah triangle is a disaster waiting to happen. Two's company, three's a crowd. Either Coach is gonna get jealous of Farrah and Mercedes, Farrah is gonna get jealous of Coach and Mercedes, or Mercedes is gonna catch feelings for one of them (probably Farrah), and the one left out is gonna feel a way. And trust me, there's always someone that feels left out in a thrupple (I don't know from experience, but I've seen it happen time and time again). 5. The Teak-Lil' Murda-Uncle Clifford triangle is another disaster, only this one will be a lot more explosive, seeing as Teak can't handle his emotions, and Murda is clearly still in love with Uncle Clifford. Also, I get why Teak is triggered from all the police brutality, but he is really volatile. He almost put hands on Gidget just for telling him to let her and Keyshawn get past him! He better not hurt Uncle Clifford, that's all I know. 6. Speaking of throwing hands, I felt bad for Brazil. Roulette started that whole thing. Sadly enough, she finished it, too. 7. Ms. Lauren...it's funny how she had no problem with all the code violations or with Toy taking her mask off until she got sneezed on. Then it was, "Y'all ain't social distancin'! Y'all don't have partitions up!" Child, bye. Also, I think Toy has more than just allergies. I think she has the 'Rona, and if she does, she probably just infected the entire staff, seeing as she brought food and the other girls over. 8. The African men are definitely up to something. The subtitle, "I think this place may be good..." didn't pop up for nothin'. 9. What Hailey did was dirty (and I was rooting for you, Hailey), but just last week, when Hailey mentioned getting $10M for the Pynk, Uncle Clifford didn't exactly balk at getting her percentage. I get some of the outrage from her, but not all of it. Then again, it's probably due to the principle of the thing. After all, it's one thing to agree to sell a business as partners, but it's another to buy a business with the intention of selling it. With that being said, I get it now. Hailey, I need your little shady self to do better. 10. Ashely, what you said about the Pynk being cursed by Montavious's spirit might be true. Diamond may need to burn some sage and splash some holy oil on the walls. Speaking of Diamond, Keyshawn really missed on a good man when she pulled that gun on him. Now he has his nose open for Big Bone, and Ms. Mississippi has officially missed out. Enjoy your manipulative abuser, sweetheart. 11. I like how the show is depicting an accurate, yet fictionalized version of 2020. It takes me back to the chaos and disorder during the early days of the pandemic. Between COVID, the economy, and the civil unrest, everyone's anxiety was on 10. I can't wait for next week! It'll be airing on my birthday (July 3rd)!

This was a good episode! I just didn't like the fact that Lil Murda and Big Teak had sex, I was so hurt for Uncle Clifford. Especially after he texted Lil Murda to see how he was doing. And Big Teak is too damn aggressive and angry for my taste. Mercedes and the Coaches wife are going to become lovers which will be a problem at some point. Hailey is really trying to sell the Pynk for the highest price she can get and don't care about Uncle Clifford or the Girls. I think Mississippi and Rome are going to get together at some point.
But you gotta realize it's been five months and Uncle Clifford hasn't been responding. Lil Murda been texting, popping up and sending postcards but Cliff hadnt responded yet at the point that him and Teak smashed. I think Murda just got caught up in the moment with an old lover and because he hadn't gotten any response from Cliff in months he just went for it. He didn't predict that Uncle Clifford would finally text at the end of the episode. It's just a tricky situation all along.

Great review as always, Ashley! This episode was everything, so here's my thoughts:
1. Corbin may have found his voice, but he's doing WAAAYYY too much. He strikes me as a bully. He clams up around his brothers, but when he's around Hailey, he feels free to call her out her name and disrespect her. If you want to do business, you need to be professional, not act like you have no home training.
2. Andre and his wife just need to cut their losses. He was emotionally cheating on her, and she actually did cheat on him. Plus, her reaction to him catching her and announcing his run for mayor, as well what he revealed about his in-laws, shows why he was so distant from her from get go. It's time to sign them papers.
3. BTW Ashley, to answer your question, Dre *almost* cheated on Brittney with Hailey. That was the night the Pynk was supposed to close for good and Hailey almost gave him some good-good in one of the private rooms. However, before things could get started, Brittney called Dre to let him know that she was in town, and he rushed back to his hotel room to give her what he couldn't give Hailey. And that child thought he put it on her so good because he missed her. LOL.
4. The Coach-Mercedes-Farrah triangle is a disaster waiting to happen. Two's company, three's a crowd. Either Coach is gonna get jealous of Farrah and Mercedes, Farrah is gonna get jealous of Coach and Mercedes, or Mercedes is gonna catch feelings for one of them (probably Farrah), and the one left out is gonna feel a way. And trust me, there's always someone that feels left out in a thrupple (I don't know from experience, but I've seen it happen time and time again).
5. The Teak-Lil' Murda-Uncle Clifford triangle is another disaster, only this one will be a lot more explosive, seeing as Teak can't handle his emotions, and Murda is clearly still in love with Uncle Clifford. Also, I get why Teak is triggered from all the police brutality, but he is really volatile. He almost put hands on Gidget just for telling him to let her and Keyshawn get past him! He better not hurt Uncle Clifford, that's all I know.
6. Speaking of throwing hands, I felt bad for Brazil. Roulette started that whole thing. Sadly enough, she finished it, too.
7. Ms. Lauren...it's funny how she had no problem with all the code violations or with Toy taking her mask off until she got sneezed on. Then it was, "Y'all ain't social distancin'! Y'all don't have partitions up!" Child, bye. Also, I think Toy has more than just allergies. I think she has the 'Rona, and if she does, she probably just infected the entire staff, seeing as she brought food and the other girls over.
8. The African men are definitely up to something. The subtitle, "I think this place may be good..." didn't pop up for nothin'.
9. What Hailey did was dirty (and I was rooting for you, Hailey), but just last week, when Hailey mentioned getting $10M for the Pynk, Uncle Clifford didn't exactly balk at getting her percentage. I get some of the outrage from her, but not all of it. Then again, it's probably due to the principle of the thing. After all, it's one thing to agree to sell a business as partners, but it's another to buy a business with the intention of selling it. With that being said, I get it now. Hailey, I need your little shady self to do better.
10. Ashely, what you said about the Pynk being cursed by Montavious's spirit might be true. Diamond may need to burn some sage and splash some holy oil on the walls. Speaking of Diamond, Keyshawn really missed on a good man when she pulled that gun on him. Now he has his nose open for Big Bone, and Ms. Mississippi has officially missed out. Enjoy your manipulative abuser, sweetheart.
11. I like how the show is depicting an accurate, yet fictionalized version of 2020. It takes me back to the chaos and disorder during the early days of the pandemic. Between COVID, the economy, and the civil unrest, everyone's anxiety was on 10.
I can't wait for next week! It'll be airing on my birthday (July 3rd)!

It was great that they showed the health inspector lady. It showed how people didn't take it seriously until it affected them. Them small towns had it bad, my hometown didn't make people wear masks unless they was visiting the nursing home or the courthouse.

This was a good episode! I just didn't like the fact that Lil Murda and Big Teak had sex, I was so hurt for Uncle Clifford. Especially after he texted Lil Murda to see how he was doing. And Big Teak is too damn aggressive and angry for my taste. Mercedes and the Coaches wife are going to become lovers which will be a problem at some point. Hailey is really trying to sell the Pynk for the highest price she can get and don't care about Uncle Clifford or the Girls. I think Mississippi and Rome are going to get together at some point.
Uncle Clifford had sex with someone else too so they're square on that front at least.

But you gotta realize it's been five months and Uncle Clifford hasn't been responding. Lil Murda been texting, popping up and sending postcards but Cliff hadnt responded yet at the point that him and Teak smashed. I think Murda just got caught up in the moment with an old lover and because he hadn't gotten any response from Cliff in months he just went for it. He didn't predict that Uncle Clifford would finally text at the end of the episode. It's just a tricky situation all along.

Maybe it was just used as the title since it was an undertone of the police brutality/killings going on throughout the show & that’s how her brother died by police so they maybe just tied it all in but I think it will become more relevant especially in regards to her behavior if nothing else.
