I just replaced the fan belt and generator belt on my original 1954 Farmall Cub after watching you video - I have had the new replacemnt belts since last Spring but was uncomfortable doing the replacement until I saw your video - great job
What if you have a homebrew 12v conversion with a 19" alternator belt? Do I just loosen that nut til I can spin the rear nut free to slide the fan put of the slot?
Nut wont budge: ok. Took your advice. Took off hood.[on a 1966 Lo Boy a bit harder to get to that fan 5/8" nut that you say needs to be loosened. Espcioally if you don't take the whole air cleaner off]. I did not. QUESTION; IS there any chance this is a reverse thread nut. Or something -it just wont budge [side note- that nut you say NOT to touch. Looks brandy new, like some mechanic may have replaced it a couple of years ago when they did work on the fan hub.... any ideas :0) ? To deal with that nut you talk about. Thanks.!!
Yeh. Thanks. Yeh that back nut shouldn’t turn. I am going out once last time. And try and get the front nut you show (the 5/8 one by the fan ) and hope I can finally get it to turn and get the dang fan nut loose and hope I’m turning it correct way and loose. :0/. Thanks

For those watching with a Farmall 100. Wrench size is 13/16 to loosen fan belt
Thanks man. I am doing the 12 volt conversion and need to change my generator, now alternator belt!
I have to replace my belts and this video will make it easier than by reading the instruction manual. Thanks from France !
Always wondered how the fan belt was done. Thanks
Thank you my generate belt fell off and I wanted to make sure i put it on right
Thanks for the video. This is a big help.

Yes
You say you dont have to remove teh hood? Good. But it looks real hard to get to the bolts on the generator and such ?
Yes it can be done, but it is not easy.
